Just received this from Bitwig support:
Hi Doug,
Thanks for your email. You will receive Upgrades during the whole 25 month period, but not after.
Best regards,
Jordan
Bitwig Support TeamSo unless there is something special with Splice, it is 25 months of updates which is still not too shabby.
Oh ok, thanks for confirming. I must have been high...

So $400 for three years and one month of support. That is cheaper than getting Bitwig on sale in December for $100 off and then extending your support as soon as it runs out for two more years.
Yeah, but I don't know the requirements for the extra year. Could be that you have to be subscribed to Splice when you start rent-to-own, when you're done paying, or during the entire time... Will have to check soon. I'm 10 days into my 30 day trial and then there's a 14 day trial for rent-to-own.

The Splice option looks interesting. I am not sure how often Bitwig goes on sale and how much the discount is but going the Splice route, you basically pay retail price and get 25 months of updates. Or am I missing something here? How much does it normally cost to extend your upgrade plan?
Upgrade is $100 for a year, I think. If you have an active Splice plan you get an extra year at the end of the 25 months, or I remember reading something to that effect on Splice.

Looking forward to what it will become. Right now the CPU is still ridiculously high compared to Tonex.

Well, in that case, the plugin will have no added benefit to the audio quality and use 20 times more CPU!
It works exclusively at 48 khz, not 96

Only Reaper and Bitwig support CLAP, if I'm not mistaken. It seems to be picking up among developers though, already some pretty nice synths suport it and at least a couple are exclusively CLAP.

Offer is valid until May 05. Normally $27

Prepare to be visited by squads of Singaporean hit men. It cannot be stopped now.

Maybe someone revealed too much...

I think the pricing is actually fine. You can rent to own it on Splice too.

Or charge more....
I hope they do. Too many n00bs.

Cool! Surely they can bring Mixbus to the next level.

Damn, that $99 deal is pretty great!

"Where Dynastia differs from its Xfer-made inspiration is the inclusion of stereo width controls, distortion, and mid/side compression. Also present are separate up and down thresholds and some great visualization for how the dynamics processor is affecting the material."
EDIT: plus it really looks nicer.

I am using the bx refinement on my vocal track right now and i like the saturation and presence you can add after the damping, it has midside and modulation capabilities too. I use melodyne to dees, i think it does the best job for me in spots that need it, the refinement is more of a whole track thing. I forgot i had it and this thread reminded me so i applied it and like it on the track.
Yeah, I'm really happy I went with it. I'm getting good results on tracks as well as busaes and the master track.

I got Indent 2 and Fault ($9 each). Indent comes with Dent 1 and 2 (didn't know that).

Get DSM instead.
I actually got refinement and I've already put it in a background vocal buss (9 vocal tracks) and it works wonders! Totally recommended!

How's bx_refinement for taming harshness? I'm in need of something like that. Both my voice and my microphone have some nasty harsh frequencies 🤢

Updates have become few and far between and relegated to small bug fixes with no new features for the better part of a year now.
Do you think this is it? Seems like it.
