It's  not related to this specific library, but when I visited the page I listened to an awesome demo of the not yet released Bon#Ham Drums. Wow! A couple of weeks ago I posted how I wish he would do a Bonham library and he does it! So, where ever you are AnyDayLong, I thank you and eagerly await your new library. The vibe is definitely like a really cool spin on the Bonham sound; kind of like Synthwave when a synth has a really retro sound, but is also tweaked to sound modern. I just have to say it's just plain awesome and the demo song is really cool.

On another related note, I was going through my emails with libraries setting up my new DAW PC and I confirmed a suspicion a lot of us have, AnyDayLong was indeed part of Past to Future Reverbs, as a link to one of the Past to Future Reverbs went to AnyDayLong's Sound Cloud account.

Friends who own KONTAKT, check these libraries out. All AnyDayLong's libraries are free except for the above library. But whether they're free or 3 €, 5 € or whatever these are just really great sounding, ready to go libraries. Here's a link to the upcoming Bonham / Zeppelin drums library:

The Bonham kit is out, apparently.

There are no more freebies in the shop anymore, it seems. 🙁

Esteban, don't give up trying to quit. If I did it, so can you. You will get over the real physical addiction in about 3 days, then it drops off after that for about 2-3 weeks. After that it's in the mind. And how to cope with that part is an individual thing. It's mostly keeping your mind on something else. Just don't give up.

Sorry to hear both Esteban and Larry lost siblings. That's a big one for sure. I didn't realize how long it had been since I lost my only brother. It still feels like just the other day.

    Great advise. You too Esteban.

Thanks, dude. I’m definitely quitting soon. Big hug and I’m sorry for your loss.

AVLinux is a custom Debian build with everything installed and already set up correctly. Realtime kernel tweaked for multimedia work and so on.

I don't see Windows offering any kernels specifically made for real time operation or something that comes even close to the flexibility and features JACK has.

REAPER, Waveform and Bitwig all have native Linux versions with VST3 support. Developers like u-he and Auburn Sounds also have native Linux versions of their plugins. Many audio interfaces, thanks to iOS devices and mobile are now class compliant and you don't even have to install drivers for them. You plug them in and the kernel already has drivers for them.

Do you have all the plugins you get in Windows and MacOS? No. In fact, Linux has the opposite problem. Not only you have plugins, you actually have too many plugins. A standard Ardour installation with the regular set of plugins you install from packages can have anything between 300 and 2000 plugins in total.

Hi, I’m running AV Linux (newbie) and it’s working well so far. How do you install plugins from packages? Are those the same as repositories? Aren’t all of the plugins installed by default in AV Linux? I’ve noticed that not every plugin or program that’s included in KX Stutio is installed, for example. Cheers!

The regular installation for just using the plugin doesn't require you to install the Python dependencies. It's just a VST3 file you drop at your plugins location.

Oh, ok. I think the Linux version needs to be compiled. How is the cpu usage? I still haven’t tested it yet, but I read it’s high.

  5. There’s another version called SmartGuitarAmp which is way easier to install. If you’re not trying to create your own profiles I think that’s the better option.
