  1. Dear Cakewalk Programmers: Is it possible to add a special feature in the track view of Cakewalk to allow for an empty track? An empty track without any audio, that can be used to separate specific parts in the composition flow? Allowing color changes and the option to add names to the track could be useful in organizing composition flow. This could be accomplished by a drop down choice named "blank" or "empty" or "separation track"? I think this would be a very useful addition. Thank You!
  2. I would be very cautious about trying to delete the following in your registry. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\ Core When I tried to follow these instructions my computer crashed and I had to put it in the shop. Windows will not allow you to remove the Node and if you force it you will probably have the same results. I would suggest that you delete only the following: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\ Core HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\ Core
  3. I think you may have misunderstood my question, and I am totally familiar on how to do a clean install. I was a Sonar Platinum customer. The first step, however in the clean install is to uninstall the software. I do not have an option available to delete the software from my computer. There is no uninstall tab or uninstall assistant present. I need to know exactly which files I can manually delete without disturbing my plug-ins. I also need to know if I can do uninstall via BandLabs download assistant. I noticed a uninstall tab, but nothing happens when I click on the tab. Once I get the software out of my computer then I should be able to reinstall the software and continue with my projects which are on hold at the moment.
  4. I cannot find any way to uninstall Cakewalk? There is not an uninstall assistant or tab available in any of the normal places you would find it in Windows. How do I go about uninstalling the program and reinstalling a clean version of the program? The BandLab assistant does not load properly on my desk top and it will not allow me to download another version of the software. can someone please help me. I am I the middle of trying to produce a new CD and I am having a really rough time of it. Thank you!
  5. Matthew I have found that even at the highest buffer setting the ASIO drivers cannot handle the processing of many of the STEAM engine plug-ins. I have switched out of ASIO and am now using MME 32 bit along with the 64 Bit engine, and my plugins are now working much better. I was getting a lot of reverb and feedback using ASIO, especially when using any of the Spectrasonics plugins, which I love to use in my compositions. I will reinstall the Captain Plugins and see how they work with MME, however you are right about the "buggy" Captain Windows plugins. I have actually received a few error messages from their software, which I believe is forward back to their programming staff for attention, but I am not sure they are making any fixes.
  6. I have purchased the full line of Captain Plugins by Mixed in Key online. I installed the plugins, but I am having some issues with using the plugins. Any other users having issues with using Captain Plugins in Cakewalk by BandLab?I really like the programs, but I think they are causing audio issues with some of my other plugins. I would really appreciate any suggestions.
  7. Thanks for the advice Leighton, but so far since I have not had any additional issues with Omnisphere in tandem with ASIO drivers. I recently increased the buffers in the ASIO drives and downloaded the software updates and installed them into Cakewalk, and I am happy to say that I am not having anymore issues. I have used Cakewalk products for over 10 years now and would not use any other DAW for my production work.
  8. Thanks Mark! I have increased the size of my buffer in ASIO and hope that it will do the trick. I will test it shortly and let you know what happens here.
  9. I am experiencing a great deal of "snap crackle & pops" using specific plugins purchased from Spectrasonics. I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how I can alleviate this issue in Cakewalk by BandLab? I am using Windows 10 64 Bit operating system, Creative SoundBlaster XFi-Titanium HD sound card (ASIO), and of course Cakewalk. I have ruled out any type of virus issue on my computer because all of the other plugins work perfectly, and I have had technical assistance recently scan for any virus, and none were found. The only plugins I seem to have issues with is the Spectrasonics plugins. I have Garritan Jazz & Big Band as well as Personal Orchestra loaded, Dimension Pro, Rapture as well as other Cakewalk Sonar products and not having any issues with any of them. I spoke to the staff at Creative and they asked if I was having any other issues such as website audio, and Windows Media player and I am not. I realize that this issue should be directed towards Spectrasonics, but I am trying to cover all of the bases before getting them on the phone again. I may be overlooking a setting in Cakewalk that will help resolve this issue. Could use some help! Thank you
