  1. To tell you the truth, I didn't notice there was an icon. I can't see it now and hitting the "insert" key doesn't bring Cakefolk back. I think that something is wrong and the script doesn't work as it should on my system. Anyway, thanks again!
  2. @murat k. , I tried the F12 + Insert before but it didn't work. I tried again now insisting more (changed the order of hitting the keys perhaps?) and it seems that it's disabled! Thank you again!
  3. @murat k. thank you for your reply, I installed Cakefolk, it gives me this error message every second time I right click on the PRV to select notes: Furthermore, upon installation it said that it will be expire after 11 of April or something... I was hopping for a more permanent and official implementation of these (imo basic) features. Also, can you please tell me how to uninstall Cakefolk? I can't find an uninstaller somewhere!
  4. Hello! I am using Cakewalk for a long time, basically for orchestral mock-ups with vst instruments. So, I use a lot of midi/instrument tracks. Bellow is a small list of things I find to be cumbersome to work with in Cakewalk. 1) The "Number of Tracks/Track Pairs to Create" field at the "Insert Soft Synth Options", is broken. When trying to input a new number (with Max Available un-ticked), the order of the numbers you type in is being put backwards. It's difficult to explain, just try it out and try to change the number of tracks a few times. 2) When duplicating an instrument track (let's say a Kontakt track), Cakewalk is creating a new synth instance of Kontakt with all of the patches that the previous instance had. This is most of the time not desired. An empty instance would have been more appropriate. This was the default way of duplicating instrument tracks some versions of the software ago. 3) Make the way of navigation the same on all views that it's appropriate. For example, the PRV and Tempo View do not use the same mouse and keyboard combinations. 4) I can't find a way to zoom in/out vertically with the mouse wheel and keyboard modifier key. Take a hint from Studio One's navigation methods. 5) I find it super annoying that there is not a way to rename a track at the PRV!!! Double clicking on the name of the track should allow renaming it, like it does on the Track view and the Console view! 6) It could be nice if the CC lanes on the PRV had the ability to have different heights. Sometimes you need to see them all but have more space on some than others. 7) Also, the order of appearance of the CC lanes on PRV is changing all the time when selecting multiple tracks with same or different CCs. Ideally one could arrange the order permanently or the software could display them in acceding order by default. 8 ) Nowadays, a lot of instruments have advanced legato engines that need some time pre-roll in order to be in-sync with the beat (for example the Cinematic Studio Series). Cakewalk has time compensation values only in ticks, not in milliseconds. This could also affect and break some Kontakt scripts that automatically manage different legato transition speeds but need to take into account the time pre-roll time in milliseconds. 9) I might be on my own here, but I preferred the previous way of deselecting notes on the PRV by right clicking on any CC lane. Now, most of the time when I work fast, instead of deselecting the notes by left clicking on the notes area, I am ending up creating new ones. I will really appreciate if any of the above could be thought and be looked at. Thank you in advance! Elias
  5. Just as the title says. You can rename any type of track from the Console View by double clicking on the name field. Is should be the same for midi tracks when working in PRV. Please consider it, Thank you!
  6. Hijacking this thread, this would be a delight Noel!!!😁
  7. I see! It makes sense now that you said it! 😄 Thank you for everything! E.
  8. Oh, wow!! This is superb! Thank you very much!!! For some reason it wasn't happening before this latest update! But I am so glad you were able to pin point it! I am so grateful for your effort Noel! Thank you again!!!🥰 Be well, Elias
  9. Noel, thank you for your support! I've send you a pm with the files! Elias
  10. The problem probably lies on the existing project. When I try a new project the freeze doesn't happen. I haven't tried opening older projects with video files and see if they reproduce this behavior yet. I will when I am done with this project, since I am in a pickle with time restraints! I am learning to use space for stopping and rewinding to the now time. If the playback is stopped, I can press "W" to go to the beginning without problems. I only mentioned my case because of the freeze, this was totally unexpected and happened on a command that I use very frequently. I will august and avoid it for the time being. Anyway, thank you everybody for helping! Be well, Elias
  11. Hello Noel, I am using the keyboard shortcut "W", not the UI buttons. Double tapping "W" while the project is playing used to stop the sound and revert the transport at the beginning. Now, when tapping "W" on a new project, without a video file loaded the transport keeps going back to the Now Time and play back without stopping. With a video loaded, a simple "W" tap repeats from the Now Time position, while a double tap goes to the beginning of the project and stops the sound. On my existing project with a video file loaded however, the second option freezes Sonar for about a minute and a half, looping the sound (the familiar grrrr sound of a very short loop). At first I thought that the program crashed (Task Manager said it didn't respond), but if I wait it eventually unfreeze. Until I double tap "W" again. Using this shortcut is engraved to muscle memory, so this is very inconvenient for me. Why did the Go to Start function changed and is there an option to revert it back the way it was before? Finally, the dump file is over 13Gb in size, so it's practically impossible to sent it. Also, I installed Procdump but the command "procdump.exe -ma Cakewalk.exe cakewalkhang.dmp" found on the other post you linked is not recognized. Thank you for your insight Noel, be well, Elias
  12. Hello, first post here! Unfortunately to report that the new W (rewind) behavior is freezing / crashing Sonar each and every time I double tap it to go in the beginning of my project. This is happening on an existing project with a video file open for scoring purposes. Removing the video fixes the problem. Is there a way to revert RTZ back the way it functioned before? Thank you for your continuous effort!
