  1. These other deals paces are good and all, but they are not here or the old forums, they aren't as easy on the eyes or something, they feel harder or something, things have always just felt right here and on the old forums. The forums, these and the old, have always been my fav thing about Cakewalk, even after I jumped ship back in 2015 I kept coming for the Deals and Software forums, it's a shame these forums don't have a separate Software forum, but at least the Deals forum lives on. May the Deals Forum live long and prosper πŸ‘
  2. No Euthymia, I am just pointing out what these things are, as you seem to be intent on making them more than what they are. They are aimed at and marketed to people who use the BandLab App, the online thingamajig, and who work on phone, tablets and such mobile devices. That was not the intent of my "service to the left-mouse-button-challenged", and I highly doubt many here would be interested in the spec's., as well as giving you an idea of what Pwalpwal was talking about, or do I need to make it bigger? For people who use fully fledged DAWs and such, these things would be woefully inadequate, and even when compared to others bottom of the range products they are severely lacking. Next you'll be trying to tell people that the Sonitus plugin suite is still relevant and up there with the best of them πŸ˜‰ Good on ya Mate Oh, and I'm glad you are not interested in these things, I think you would be very disappointed in generall, unless you just wanted a knockabout mobile thingy for sketching, even then there are much better options available πŸ‘
  3. I know, they are planting not picking/harvesting, but I just needed a quick pic (no pun intended)
  4. 🀣 Here is an example of the specs from the lowest model in Focusrites Line of Audio Interfaces Compared to I think you'll find that the comparison example will be relevant in much more areas than just specs πŸ˜‡
  5. I knew exactly what they were when you posted them and the differences, shovels and spades. The post still stands.
  6. Scheps Omni Channel works as expected here. I use it all the time.
  7. How do you get it for $29? It says $174 [Edit] oh, I think I get it, it's $29 if you have the rewards, if not it's full price, bummer.
  8. Forest Gumps mother always said, "Stupid is as stupid does" 😁
  9. The sound, the GUI, pretty much everything, but most importantly it was the sound, the tone. I just didn't like it at all. I had high hopes going in to it with what a few people were saying about it, but for me that just didn't materialize.
  10. That's a week of my time and $199 I'll never get back.
  11. Also, Uncle E just posted this as part of a reply to another Forum member over at KVR https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=262178&start=37726 You have no excuse now πŸ˜πŸ˜‡
  12. I recall when I purchased v4, the Website said I had purchased v3 on that date, and purchased v4 3 years earlier😡 . It eventually got sorted.
  13. Not only that, has anyone ever noticed that if you spell Uncle E backwards you get cclarry, if you disregard the 2 E's the c, the n and the U? I think we are on to something here
  14. They are all pretty good, they seem to be at home with guitars, some have a little extra tweakability, I think the Tube EQ, Tube Comp and optical Comp come with stuff like tweaking Tubes, capacitors, Transformer, Light source that give much more tone variation options. I wouldn't say they are better or worse than what you likely already have, but they do the job and they do it well. They are not without issues, not to bad, could be DAW related I don't know, I only use Studio One since 2015, can't recall if it use to happen with SONAR Platinum or not, but from time to time switching to the Passive EQ (If you don't know Studio One, FX/Plugins on a given track are usually displayed in a tabbed window) well the Passive EQ can show up Blacked out, easy to fix, just open again from FX bin, a pain in the ***** none the less, it may happen with others, but far less frequently, Passive is the main offender. If it is a problem with the plugins themselves it will never be fixed, as they haven't been touched for a long time and I doubt they ever will be again, apart from that and the slightly longer than usual loading times there is no other issues really. Would I recommend them to anyone?, I'd tell them what I think and to be sure to demo them before purchasing, what I think could be completely opposite of what they will think. Personally if I had my time over knowing what I know now, I'd still purchase them again, even though PG have shown themselves to be a shit company time and time again, I can still get good things out of their products, and the issues aren't that bad that it becomes a deal breaker. They are by no means my go to EQ's or Comps, but they do get used quite a bit especially on guitar tracks.
  15. $127.92 art Best Service 😁 https://shop.bestservice.com/studio_one_5_professional_upgrades.html
  16. Yes I think it was, Ignite Amps NadIR, going to the old Ignite Amps page takes you to Libra's home. Reading the manual I don't think it allows the use of the arrows to select. I remember looking at this way back, but when I need to merge/stack/mix and export IR's I just use mixIR2 or mixIR3, so I never bothered. There was another IR loader that used that visual method like Libra, but I can't recall it's name.
  17. Recab 5 does that no it doesn't, it just pretends to πŸ˜‡ That would be nice, let me know if Libra does it. I can't remember the name of the IR loader that became Libra, but it didn't do it as far as I recall. I never really thought of it before, but that would be really handy.
  18. I totally agree on one thing, the Company, as a Company is total shit. They don't seem to listen much (they do sometimes when it suits them) or care, and the software is certainly not without it's various issues. They should have ditched that Web Browser like GUI long ago, one of the PG Dudes even admitted it was a mistake way back in the Amp 1 years, but they never changed it and just kept charging on, although they did manage to speed it up somewhat (see next paragraph) I own everything they got for PC starting back with Amp 1. I personally don't find the GUI slow as molasses, it use to be way back, but that was dealt with, yes there is moments of spinning circles when changing/adding things, but that's nothing compared to what it use to be I assure you πŸ˜‡ I have learned over the years how to get sounds out of any of them Amp1/2 FX1/2 that I am very happy with, and don't seem to suffer from some of the issues others report, why? no idea, but I'm not going to argue with that πŸ˜‰ Would I purchase AMP 3 or FX 3 or whatever the next product is?, if I am still above ground, most certainly, on release day. πŸ˜‡ I own, have owned pretty much everything Amp Sim wise in the Software domain (with the exception of Helix Native), lately, in the last 6 months or so I have started to demo before I purchase, I use to just purchase straight out before even trying (it was a costly adventure). Pretty much all I use now is a mixture of the new Softube Marshalls (excellent), Softube Amp Room series, Kuassa stuff, Amplitube, BIAS Amp1/2, FX1/2 and some ReValver 4 ACT Amp Clones. I gave away all my PA Amp Sims, Sold all the TH2/TH3/TH-U Stuff, gave away the Nembrini stuff I purchased for the cost of iLok transfer. I never use S-Gear 2, never liked it much, think it's hugely over rated, Kazrog Thermionik never gets used, there is a lot of stuff there I can't even recall because it never gets used. I demo everything that gets released, but I haven't found anything that appeals to me or gets me a better sound than I already have for a long time (except the Softube Marshalls, Excellent) The last Neural DSP thing came close. but no cigar. [Edit] I forgot, the thing that pisses me off the most is the installation time, and it goes for all there products, just to differing degrees, I can literally double click the install file, walk away and make a cup of tea, come back and it still hasn't finished, it can take up to 6 or 7 minutes to complete, some people report 15/ 20 minutes, this doesn't affect everyone it seems, but it affects many people. It only happens with PG products 😑
