There’s no big difference if you have the TTS-1 installed already.

You still have to make sure nothing is selected in your midi outputs.

And if the tts-1 is added after you have midi tracks loaded just add the TTS-1 and then select all the tracks and use the tracks

/ selected tracks output to choose the TTS-1

Thanks John - that worked for me!

if you're using the latest cbb/sonar build then i guess it's because it's no longer included, so they've removed the auto-insert?

That's going to be a real time waster for me. I use midi files all the time and having to insert TTS-1 and then send each channel individually to it is pretty hopeless. I know once it's saved as a Cakewalk file then it's fine but really this is a retrograde step.

  3. When opening a midi file TTS-1 used to load with all the channels correctly inserted. Now when opening midi, I have to insert TTS-1 then connect channels individually. Is there a setting somewhere that’s changed or is it because TTS-1 is no longer included?

  4. I’ve been a user (and serial upgrader) of Cakewalk since the Windows 3.0 version and would ask one thing - please don’t lose the backwards compatibility. Last week I resurrected a project from February 1999 when I saved everything as .bun files. Lo and behold, the latest version unpacked everything successfully and I could continue from where I had left off all those years ago. My workflow may have changed and there might now many more “toys” to play with but it worked. Impressive!

I only have 3 or 4 Waves plugins that I use and that I didn't find a replacement for (vocal rider, bass rider, NLS and InPhase)

I'll just WUP those and probably uninstall the others

    Have a look at these:-

    Bass Rider - TBProadio.de DynaRide2
    Vocal Rider - TBProadio.de GainRider3

  7. Didn't someone say that this would happen so that we would all be happy with WUP-ing? Will it stop the rot or are Waves finished?

I personally only use about  dozen of their products (all V13) and had thought about going down the WUP route. After the weekend, I've sourced almost all similar VSTs (some free) and will probably go with them. Once bitten, twice shy!

I've reported the issue with the 9.99 update being unavailable to those who chose T-RackS Sunset Sound Studio Reverb in a group buy or similar.

    Still no joy for me!

I haven't done a clean install of Win 11, but I left Sonar Platinum and all my plug-ins installed when I converted to Cakewalk by Bandlab.  I tried the old Sonar Platinum about a month ago (I have Win 11 Pro) and everything still works.   I suspect it will install without problems.  At worst, install Sonar in a Windows 7 compatibility mode if you run into a problem with the install.

    Thanks for the information.

All seems fine. The Sonar installation is working and everything appears to have been picked up in Cakewalk by BandLab.

  10. I’m having to reinstall everything after a hard disk problem. I’m thinking about upgrading to Windows 11 and using my old Sonar Platinum installation files to get everything I had before along with Cakewalk by BandLab.

Has anyone else here reinstalled from scratch on Windows 11 and how successful was it?
