  9. Also check out https://www.choptones.com/overloud-patches One thing that may be of concern, although it doesn't really matter if they sound good, while having a discussion with one of the Choptones lads a few years back about there packs for BIAS Amp, I got the impression that it wasn't actually done from the various amps themselves, but kind of converted from their already existing Kemper Profiles, but as long as they sound good, and they do, I guess it doesn't matter. The Suur Cus 100TP and Bogie MKV packs they done for BIAS Amp was pretty awesome, as they all pretty much were [Edit] Also, be aware the packs on the Choptones site aren'r 'Rig Models' I believe, but just 'preset packs' for TH-U, still sound good though [Edit 2] and it seems comes with some CHoptones IR's, which are generally of good quality
  10. I went as far as having this in my cart during the Pre-Order, but just couldn't bring myself to go through with it. Been waiting to see some of the responses from users (not just initial new toy wowness), but things seem fairly quiet, even the 'initial new toy wowness' comments seem to be almost non existant thus far, yeah I know it's early on, but. I love MODO Bass, and it replaced Trilian for me as my go too, I juist use it during the creation phase, and always replace with a real Bass guitar, but I am a little hesitant with MODO Drum. I use BFD3 pretty much exclusively, and have pretty much every expansion pack available for it, when Superior 3 came out I just purchased it straight away (which was a little strange even for me as I thought Superior 2 was pretty much crap) I never use Superior 3, it looks good, has some nice stuff, but for me it falls short of what is available with BFD3 in the most important area, that of sound. I own all the usual suspects AD2, EZ2,SD2,SD3 etc, but always go with BFD3 and all the others just sit there unused gathering virtual dust tasking up space (until next reinstall or PC build) MODO Drum is an interesting proposition being mostly modeled, just don't want to buy something yet again that wont get used, getting old I guess. With no demo available makes it harder, and seemingly not much of a vibe going on about it in the various forums (I know Peter posted a glowing youtube review by someone, but you know . . .).I know it's an individual thing, but for those who have it, what are your thoughts so far, how does it compare to what you already have, do you think it will replace what you already have?
  11. Yes, the way it is with all the individual .dll's etc is a right royal pain, especially with being use to a lot of the other stuff out there, nice tidy inclusive packages, BIAS, Amplitube, TH3/TH-U, Revalver etc etc, much easier to work with and use compared to Thermionik. The generic look also turns me off somewhat, not that that would matter much if the sound and feel were way ahead of the pack, but it just isn't, not for me anyway, doesn't compare favorably with the competition in any department. Never use them myself, just not worth the effort really. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with next though, hopefully he will bring the package more into line with what other developers give us, but something tells me possibly not, I have always had the feeling he may have the same attitude as Cockos (REAPER) where they don't really care about aesthetics, usability, user friendliness etc, which would be fine I guess if the product is good enough to void those 'shortcomings'
  12. As far as I know, the suite disappeared when he withdrew Thermionik from sale, which makes sense as the suite was made up mostly of Thermionik/Recabinet stuff, which was no longer available. He is working on the next gen of amp sim, that is why he withdrew Thermionik from sale as the story goes. Either luckily or unluckily, depending on your opinion of Thermionik, I think if you had previously purchased later amp packs, prior to when he rolled them all into 1 product, if you log into your account and download the latest version of Thermionik, when you install it, don't activate or register it whatever, but just check the 'about' tab, if it says something like 'Registered to - Legacy User' just leave it, don't try and put in your account info, as all the contents of the Thermionik Suite whether you purchased them or not will be available for you to use without any limitation, if you however register with your account info, you will only have full access to whatever you purchased. I think this was done on purpose for those who had previously purchased Thermionik stuff before they were withdrawn. I brought in way back when he was selling Thermionik via a few different amp packs, before he put them all into 1 bundle, and I had all but 1 pack, now I have access to all, but I don't use them as I never really thought much of most of them.
