  1. I now have both and while Shimmer is great Skaka is simpler to use, mostly because Kontakt is a clunky platform from an interface perspective. The built-in sequencer is more flexible and powerful than Shimmer Shake, so the only real advantage is the larger library that comes with the latter. One thing that put me off slightly was that you can´t combine single shots with shaken sounds in the same cell, but you have 12 cells at your disposal so it´s not a big deal. Both get the job done anyway, but at $24.99 you can´t go wrong with this.
  2. Got it after about 36 hours or so, European buyer (initially blocked). Used PayPal and vpn.
  3. I have most of them and while there are a few it’s mostly the usual suspects like 6/8, and you can’t edit the loop length. I tend to render snippets to audio and rearrange them myself.
  4. It doesn’t appear possible to use the cross grade price in combination with jampoints unfortunately, which makes this deal less relevant for those with saved points.

  6. Best things with this is the multiband support. There are a few other options out there but most of those are far more complex and resource hungry. This will actually make me use my waves plugins a lot more, as I often just want to apply FX to part of the spectrum.
  7. One reason people don´t like these is because they are very mono and doesn´t come with any ambience. Adding a touch of room reverb will make them come alive. Many of the other ampsims also includes effects in the presets. Another reason is that they are very sensitive to gain staging and you really need to hit them at the right level. I personally still use them because of the simplicity, it´s just one view with all the controls in one place. I put a gain plugin in front of it and tweak until it sounds ok.
  8. Clockspeed is important, but not everything. What matters is how effective the whole architecture is and the AMD 10/16 core 9-series CPU:S are already heat to head with Intel on single core performance. See this test for instance: https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/amd-ryzen-9-3900x-vs-intel-core-i9-9900k/ Moreover, AMD CPU:s are way more energy efficient and will require less cooling etc which impacts the ability to reach turbo speeds, and indirectly the speed of other components such as the M2 NVM-drives which are very sensitive to heat. My next build will be a 3900X or 3950X for sure.

  10. Damn it ! It´s anyway a great library and I just bought it
  11. For just $43.99 (instead of $220), get the RIFFENDIUM BUNDLE from AUDIOFIER featuring RIFFENDIUM 1, 2 & 3, a themed sample library collection for modern producers and composers. The complete collection includes RIFFENDIUM (Generic Guitar Loops), RIFFENDIUM 2 (Heavy Guitars) and RIFFENDIUM 3 (Ambient Guitars) . https://audioplugin.deals/riffendium-bundle-by-audiofier/
  12. Instant blacklist in Cubase 10 for me. *update* UVI supplied a new beta of the ilok driver and this did the trick
  13. I think it´s more than that, and possible not saturation at all. They mention resynthesis on their website, and it certainly sounds like they are adding something rather than enhancing something that is already there. "The internals uses a combination of filtering, amplitude- , and frequency modulation to process incoming audio."
  14. I actually use it quite a lot on drum loops and some guitars as an effect. This can obviously be replicated with other tools but it offers instant gratification. It’s more than eq and saturation though (probably IR:s). Their megaphone plug-in is even more fun.
  15. Actually, it does support ducking using the envelope follower. Damn it. 149 for all the 12 effects is very tempting
  16. A flanger for 129 bucks + VAT? Was hoping for something better to make up for the fiasco, the pricing for perpetual and subs is rather misaligned at the moment. The amps interested me, but I´m not buying a single amp for 129. They should really roll-up all those amps and stomp boxes into a single plugin and sell it for like 299.
