  1. Stunning! User friendly! Sounds great! (Unless it’s not CPU friendly, or not as effective as described).
  2. Leapwing has some good tools! Usually too pricey, but with this discount they can merit consideration!
  3. Thanks! This 1.0 version has now allowed me to correct one particular install that I couldn't get to work previously.
  4. In September 2023 Positive Grid released version v2_6_1_6290. It's fantastic. Some new amp sounds. The DSP is improved. The sound is killer. The UI looks fantastic. Totally digging it. In Nov 2023 they release version v2_7_0_6600. On my Windows machine (I use Studio One Pro) the screen resolution is zoomed in for Bias FX 2. I only see a portion of the UI for this VST. Going to their website they have some troubleshooting tips. None of them worked. Seems like they put the burden of having the screen look right for users on the users, rather than in the UI design. It's a pity. I rolled back to the previous version and everything looks as expected and sounds great. Seems like I may be stuck on that version at least for a while. Sigh!
  5. I have this now. I used to use an Echoplex. Looking forward to giving it a try.
  6. I had wanted to get the saxophone when it was offered, but just missed the cut off. Glad this one is back for 24 hours!
  7. I like all of the Leapwing items. At this price for this one if I didn’t already have it I would jump!
  8. I’ve used presets from Hideaway Studio on songs. There are some really good ones!
  9. @PavlovsCat - one of the easy answers to being able to get nice playing even if held up by tendinitis or amateuritis is EZKeys!
  10. One example where we can hear how this plugin can improve the sound. The presenter gradually showcases its capabilities here with sound examples.
  11. I am a fan of Leapwing - especially when on sale! I already have this one though. Acquired it fairly recently so haven't tested it beyond one song, but liked how it sounded for sure on that song. I did notice it used some CPU.
  12. Top notch sounds and capabilities in Avenger! Including drums that can be included or not and modified for a selected preset. Avenger blows me away with great sounds and presets each time I use it. Each preset pack has a good selection of groupings, such as synths, or pads - and each preset pack also has sequences which really amaze and often include drums etc. While those sequences are really well done, for me, they are also over-automated. Meaning I have to turn off stuff like the arps or drums on a sequence preset to really use it in on my own song composition. Or at least I have to figure out how to modify and/or control those automated aspects to fit my song, Even though I am an admirer of Avenger and their (expensive) high-quality preset packs, I actually use Spire much more often. I find with Spire I am easily able to find the same high-level quality preset sounds like you hear in Avenger but without all the automation. That’s preferable in my case because I’m trying to create songs rather than use someone else’s preset that practically is already a song (as you hear in Avenger or also similarly in Dune 3). With that said, this 50% sale on the Avenger 5-pack is a rare event and a very good deal if wanting to expand on Avenger. Hard to pass up!
  13. Haven’t listened to clips yet on how it sounds - but read about the four new amp additions. All of them got my interest.
  14. You’ve got a good story here about the value of travel insurance.
  15. 10 hours and no mention of the Expander chapter? I had assumed this mostly covered expansion since it’s so bloated.
  16. You could have included in the post heading “Bapu Installed!”
  17. Something very helpful to call out about Overloud GEM plugins (beside that they each sound great) is that compared to other plug-in makers of the same kind of effect the Overloud GEMs do not take up much CPU. I’ve compared side by side many of these. The GEM plugins do not even show a blip against the CPU. Other plug-in makers with comparable plugs for the same effect each take up different and quite visible hits on the CPU. So, Overloud plugs are really advantageous. And, Overloud does not charge for updates.
  18. I use this one a lot. Great deal for anyone that doesn’t have it yet.
  19. $19 at the moment. Maybe later on sale for less. Howard always adds choice new presets to the palette of Spire.
  20. I always liked the focusing equalizer in this pack.
