  1. M-Audio is a no brainer. Edifier is a big NO! They are not monitors at all.

    New monitors hunt.

Im hunting for new monitors. Im still running the Rokits 6 G3 model, but im looking for something with a more flatter frequency. Now heres where the headache starts for me when searching for a monitor. Do you prefer a Flat Frequency response OR do you prefer a Tonal Balance Monitor thats somewhat clinical. I've owned the M-Audio BX8a, the Alesis MKII Passives which I still have and for the past 7years the KRK Rokit 6 G3. I feel like I need something better. Something less deceptive. What do you prefer in a Monitor? Great Image, AccurateTonal Balance, more Clinical or a flat frequency response?

You gonna get roasted for this because you are using "Asio4All." Asio4All is very bad on this forum, its the devil👹himself. Get an interface is what will be thrown at you . . . but hey, I wash my hands. I was never here. 🚶🏻‍♂️🏃🏻
  5. It all depends on what you interpret as a "midi track." If you're refering to a channel/track - then NO. If you're refering to an instrument/Vsti like the TTS1 (which is a midi instrument,) then YES, you can do this. Watch some videos on Youtube. Different DAW = Different languages for "midi tracks." In cakewalk it is an actual virtual "midi channel strip/track."
  6. Ctrl+Alt then hit Del. Close all instances of cakewalk uou see between all those files in that windows.
  7. Check if your "Dim Solo" option is enabled.

The yeti is a condenser microphone.

Not entirely true. Its designed for recording as well.

You can record at 16bit/44100kHz or at 24bit, 48kHz or even changed it up 16bit/48kHz or 24bit/44100kHz, but your have to set the rate in windows appropriate to what is in your daw. Same in your Asio drivers whether it be Asio4All or WASAPI. My 14year old uses the Yeti with no issues with Asio4All on his laptop. He records his vocals on Cakewalk for his gaming videos on twitch. He also records his own songs using the Yeti and Asio4All with no issues at all.
  11. Check the link: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Automation.04.html

With USB mics, you need to make sure that the sample rate in windows are the same as that in Cakewalk. Secondly: change your recording rate within Cakewalk higher than 16bit.
  13. You have Automation Write enabled.
  14. So this mean that an Introduction video into the 2023 update on the Cakewalk Youtube Channel would also not be possible? A one and a half minute teaser would be exciting.
  15. Asio4All should work just fine with the Behringer UM2. My 14 year old son run the same setup daily and has no issues with Asio4all have you armed the track in Cakewalk? Is the track selected/highlighted? Click on the number to bring the track to focus and make sure that your echo input is selected. Once you arm your track for recordring, you should than see your meter information.
  16. You can already do this. Just route your synth track to an Audio Track.
  17. Audio snap is not intended to work on lengthy wav files. Shorter clips/takes = better results and a more natural sound it will give. This is the same for EVERY other daws as well. If you have a 4 Measure/Bar recording, cut it up by Bar/Measure - then edit it per clip. Also make sure to bounce these clips individually on their track before you export it. Even in Logic and Protools theres a communication issue between Audiosnap and export with certain tracks even if the desired track is freezed. Always duplicate and mute the clone track as well before you do an export.
  18. Comping works just as expected - unless things have changed while ive been gone. I see we're on the same build still though. Comping works in conjunction with your loop points and I always use it with punch in and works great - well, the last time i still used it. Dont think it has changed. It overwrites the region you want to replace as it should.
  19. Bounce the clip. It should combine all lanes to one clip withing the track.
  20. Using the old shortcut by Holding down ALT when replacing an effect without the "new replace effect feature" now replace the entire FX bin with one chosen effect by DELETING every other effect in the bin!!!
  21. I gaved gou advice here. Then you go and insult me here, but I get a warning? Wookiee can ban me for all I care!
  22. If a file was recorded with two of the same mics, both L&R channels will be balanced. Using two completely different brands - Rode or Telefunken: The sensitivities of thes are different, so the dB of each channel in the stereo field will vary.
  23. You can split it yourself. What if you dont want the stereo track to be split on import to save some track space | OR | because it doesnt need extra work done on it?
