  1. Dec 11: Sci-Fi loops Collection $22.49 (or $12.49 for non-commercial use) https://producerplanet.com/us/article/sci-fi-loops-collection-22312/?license=non_commercial collection of 5 score (cinematic) soundpools
  2. Pretty interesting if you combine it with Softube Modular (warning: don't do this on an old/low powered cpu)
  3. No, it was funny, because some companies do put their audio software on Steam (which I always thought was as good a pairing as beer and strawberry cake) and I did picture it for a moment starting steam and instead of playing Rocksmith, launching BC Axiom and playing music instead Actually, even without the typo there is a good chance that my brain would still have processed it as something related to Steam 😉
  4. Dec 10: Variverb II $24.99 Algorithmic reverb: space (room), plate, spring and non-linear. Modulation can be applied to the reverb tail Effects don't have commercial/non-comercial pricing... 🙂
  5. ah, StReam! for a moment I thought it was on Steam (https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/)
  6. Dec 9: Movie Score Collection $24.99 (or $12.49 for non-commercial use) https://producerplanet.com/us/article/movie-score-collection-3200/?license=commercial_unlimited Finally back to soundpools 🙂 This is a pretty reasonable price with vouchers ($10 for 5 large soundpools, 5.52GB of .wav files)
  7. Dec 8: Movie Score Song Collection vol 3 $699.75 for unlimited commercial use ($249.75 for standard commercial, $12.49 for non-commercial) https://producerplanet.com/us/article/movie-score-song-collection-vol-3-3286/?license=commercial_unlimited I've been updating the thread for completeness but I wonder who is the target market for these song collections. I hope the next windows in the advent calendar start showing up more soundpools, virtual instruments or effects. If it's more song collections I'll probably skip them.
  8. Dec 7: Scifi Tunes song collection $249.75 for unlimited commercial use ($99.75 for standard commercial, $4.99 for non-commercial) https://producerplanet.com/us/article/sci-fi-tunes-22311/?license=commercial_unlimited
  9. Dec 6: 90's Hip Hop Complete Bundle $12.49 (non-commercial $6.24) https://producerplanet.com/us/article/90s-hip-hop-complete-bundle-10249/?license=commercial_unlimited Parts 1, 2 or 3 $4.99 (non-commercial $2.49) https://producerplanet.com/us/article/90s-hip-hop-9558/?license=commercial_unlimited https://producerplanet.com/us/article/90s-hip-hop-part-2-9560/?license=commercial_unlimited https://producerplanet.com/us/article/90s-hip-hop-part-3-9559/?license=commercial_unlimited @kitekrazy - yeah, I'm not interested in license-restricted versions either, that's why I mention the royalty-free price first and post the links to them. I probably won't make money with music based on these loops but I don't like having to worry about it (will my YouTube videos ever get some monetization? who knows). I guess that for some people, having the option is a good thing and, as long as unencumbered versions are available I'm fine. It's a little annoying however, that the commercial prices aren't shown in the main pages and you have to dig a little deeper for every single one of them
  10. Dec 5: Ultimate Christmas Song Collection $149.75 for unlimited commercial use ($74.75 for standard commercial, $3.74 for non-commercial) https://producerplanet.com/us/article/ultimate-christmas-song-collection-20089/?license=commercial_unlimited
  11. Magix has started their advent sales for producerplanet.com Dec 4: Ambient Chillout Sessions collection $19.99 (or $9.99 for non-commercial use) https://producerplanet.com/us/article/ambient-chillout-sessions-4450/?license=commercial_unlimited I think it's not exactly midnight CET (Germany) when the deal ends, that they apply a 2h "grace period", but I'm not entirely sure. If you miss a deal, maybe they will repeat it at the end of the sale (that's what they did last year). As a reminder: you probably want to buy vouchers from https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/fanatical-music-bundle-2-by-magix (2x$20 vouchers, plus other products, for $10) and use them to further reduce the price. Only 1 voucher and 1 product per purchase is allowed. Any leftover money after applying the voucher will be lost, and it's all "buy it now" (there is no "cart", you cannot buy 2x$10 products with one $20 voucher, you cannot stack vouchers to get a more expensive item)
  12. This weekend - Score: Mystic Dreams $8.99 for the commercially licensed option (or $4.99 for the non-commercial) https://producerplanet.com/us/article/mystic-dreams-4336/?license=commercial_unlimited This Soundpool contains all loops from 'FilmMusic Vol. 2' of 'Soundpool DVD Collection 2004' (Note: right now for $1 more you can get the "Music Bundle 2 by Magix" at fanatical.com that includes 2x$20 vouchers, applicable to this or many other soundpools)
  13. These other algorithmic generators may be interesting for adding to the shopping basket as well https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/hexcel/ https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/midi-grid/ They're not on sale but they are just $5 (alternatively, keep them on the wishlist, for those months when you're interested in the freebie and there aren't other interesting sales)
  14. Ecox is a vintage effect plug-in for emulating natural, full sound of analog effect devices and realistic tape echo sounds. $2.49 https://producerplanet.com/us/article/vintagefx-ecox-3203/

  16. My mistake, sorry. I just noticed this: Please note that this plan does not include an upgrade plan for Pro Tools, and is available to all Pro Tools 11 and higher users
  17. I think Steinberg grants you an automatic upgrade to the version that is current at the time of registration (that's what I got when I registered a cheap, old copy of Dorico 1.0 that I found and they gave me a free upgrade to 3.5)
  18. Wow, I never thought I'd see this deal back Avid Digidesign Annual Plug-in and Support Plan Renewal https://www.jrrshop.com/avid-digidesign-annual-plug-in-support-plan-renewal
  19. Your best bet for picking up recent releases at PA is to get the plugins when they are on sale individually and you can stack a $75 or $50 voucher (if you didn't get one of these, ask around, or use a Buy&Sell forum). E.g. 11/4/2021 1 DS Audio TANTRA 2 $149.99 2021-11 Customer Loyalty Monthly Vouchers - $75 SLO: DS Audio Tantra 2 for $99.99 -$50 Total $24.99

With the IK GB, all of the above, and a couple of deals that I reserved for Christmas, I should have plenty, even if the "fun money" budget goes to zero in 2022.

  22. The Tiger The Frog categorized sales page at VI-Control is getting close to filling up the entire first page (and is already longer than last year) Anybody else thinking that it's still Saturday, and cyber-Monday deals haven't been announced yet?...
  23. Nice! I got something called "The indie mixtape" where the only thing that looks interesting is the soundtrack You seem to be going to the older bundle, there is a "Fanatical Music Bundle by MAGIX" (expired) and a "Fanatical Music Bundle 2 by MAGIX" (current)
  24. Afaik the ear training course has never been anywhere close to $99. This is "traditional ear training", examples of various intervals, chords, rhythms, etc. followed by practice drills/test. It's not a new learning method. About 30 years ago I used the MS-DOS programs "Ibis Play it by ear" and "Ibis Rhythm Ace" that used the same "example & drill" mechanics. It works, and your music listening skill will grow if you put in the time and effort, much like going to the gym. Rick Beato's version is conveniently online and has one of the most comprehensive sets of drills that I've seen (it's not finished yet but it already offers more than typical, less expensive programs). At $200+ it always felt too expensive but at $99 it is quite reasonable. After completing the course you should be able to recognize every note in a song, the same way as Rick Beato does in his "What makes this song great" videos
