  1. If I recall correctly, I survived my last wookie vocal exposure. With more exposure, I'm beginning to rather enjoy them. Super interesting, I particularly looked the tempo changes, and for me the drums were outstanding.
  2. I've never heard the Giant Rooks version. It's an incredible cover, and your cover cover did it justice. Your vocals on this are excellent.
  3. Excellent. You had me from the guitar riff, and the organ is killer.
  4. Thanks, Nigel. I do come back to the Grandeur again and again. It's one of my favorites.
  5. Thanks Ross for taking the time to listen and the kind words! Jeff
  6. Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. Jeff
  7. After digging through my hard drive, I came across a couple more piano recordings from some time ago. Beethoven's Adagio Cantabile, the second movement from his Pathetique piano sonata, is for me, one of the most beautifully sublime solo piano pieces ever written. I think I recorded this around fifteen years ago. I tried my best to do it justice. I can't even remember when I recorded Mozart's Sonata in C major. Probably 20 or 25 years ago. This is a simple, absolutely lovely piece, and I was really happy when I found the midi file from the recording. I used Native Instrument's the Grandeur to render these with minimal processing. Jeff
  8. I was expecting something entirely different from the title. Loved the song and the sentiment. Jeff
  9. Loved it. I second (third?) the comments on the EP. Fabulous tone on it, I would have liked to hear more of it. Jeff
  10. Good lord, this takes me back to grad school. I always loved this song, and you did a good job with it. Jeff
  11. Now I have desk envy because virtual me's desk is way cooler than mine!
  12. Oops I may have given the wrong impression. I want the basement to be a functional for the whole family. I like to joke but my wife is definitely supportive. She never complains when boxes show up on the front porch from Sweetwater
  13. I love it. I think this could work as well as swapping keyboard and desk. Thanks so much for the interesting suggestions. I've gotten a number of ideas on how to rearrange things that I hadn't originally considered, so now I have a lot to think about.
  14. Bottom right corner, right under where I've drawn the keyboard. After I wrote me previous post, I started thinking that I really need to go back and measure everything more carefully. Because of things like weights, kids toys, a pelaton, and spouse push-back, the front area of the L where the TV isn't a possibility. But chances are probably good I can swap the desk and keyboard.
  15. Thanks! I agree, Pop's Dilemma is my favorite as well. Carolina Shout is fun, but Pop's Dilemma is a far better tune, in my opinion.
  16. Thanks! I did almost nothing mix-wise, opting for the raw sound from the Grandeur with minimal processing. I must admit, I do love to pound on the bass keys with my left hand when playing these.
  17. What Bjorn said. Bass and sax work wonderfully together. Excellent tune.
  18. I love your stuff. I never really payed much attention to much metal in the past, but listening to has started to make me reconsider the error of my ways.
  19. Great tune. I loved the opening piano and the vocals sound great, but I'd second the notion that the reverb could be dialed back a skosh. Really really good.

    Soul Hole

Open and honest in really raw kind of way. That was pretty arresting. Well done.
  21. Awesome setup. I enjoyed watching the video and see you tweak things live. There's nothing worse than trying to record a live video, getting to close to the end and then screwing up. I've been there. Nice Jam. I enjoyed it. Jeff
