  4. This is a terrific plugin. I'm trying to see if I can learn how to use an EQ that doesn't have a spectrum analyzer (eg SSL E console strip) and PluginDoctor has helped me this morning actually see what going on. Thanks jesse g!
  5. I bought it, but not sure I’ll keep it. Seems like it is geared more towards a live performance instrument, but that’s just my initial take. Similar in sound to Chromaphone which I think I like better. No trial available, but there’s a 30-day return policy.
  6. I did some more digging and found that you can set the default to not use PayPal conversion, but only for automatic payments which appear to be any pre-authorized PayPal payments.
  7. Well, I've never seen one. That would be nice.
  8. Yup. Not talking about receiving, only paying and having it converted. I have a verified account with my bank account attached. I just always pay with the credit card, also attached.
  9. Totally agree. It is a deceptive business practice if u ask me. 🤬
  10. PayPal can be set to pull from a credit card. Also, this isn’t a PB issue as all. It’s just all about getting a more favorable conversion rate.
  11. I'm in the US and buy a ton of stuff from European online stores, like Plugin Boutique, etc. I like to use PayPal instead of giving them my credit card number. However, when I get the USD charge from PayPal, it's always been slightly higher than what I expected. Recently, I discovered that I could still use PayPal but have my bank convert to USD instead of PayPal. This saves me about 2%+. Not a whole lot but at the rate I buy stuff, it adds up! LOL All you have to do is click the "See currency options" link on the initial PayPal checkout window. Select the foreign currency box and then the blue Pay button. I've walked through the process on a blog post with screenshots. I gotta imagine there are others that might benefit from this tip. https://www.seriouslytrivial.com/2021/09/07/dont-let-paypal-translate-your-foreign-purchases/
  12. Totally agree. I got a ton of them when I just started “collecting” plugins. I particularly hate the Kontakt ones that just mix multiple samples. I always cringe when they they brag about the size of the sounds. As if that is a measure of quality. 😖
  13. I was having problems last night as well, but worked this morning. Also, the Bite Harde intro price is €14.90 instead of €24 (excl. VAT), however; account holders with newsletter subscription get it for €8.20. My Crush was free. Odd thing is I can’t create a password for my account. I guess they need a new web guy. I predict I never actually use them but for the price, it’s worth a tickle and a cheap way to support a good plugin dev. 🙂
  14. Melodyne is more surgical as u can edit individual notes. Pitchmap is more global and fast. I suppose you could accomplish a similar result with Melodyne. There’s a trial version on the Zynaptiq site. Give it a go.
  15. Surprisingly good. I was a bit amazed how well it worked.
  16. Downloaded the trial and was very surprised with the results.
  17. Mine is water-cooled. The fan noise is only loud when you first boot. It's a great multipurpose machine. Basically runs everything I want, including Ableton,...even at the same time LOL
  18. Ableton, but it doesn’t take full advantage of all those cores. The benefit is when I’m running, other apps simultaneously.
  19. 6 PACK INSTALL PROCESS In case there are folks like me that are unfamiliar with the process of buying the MIDI 6 pack from a third party, here's what you do. You will get an email from T+S with six serial codes. Run the Toontrack Product Manager app. Click the Register New Product button at the top and enter one of the codes--you can copy paste including dashes. A page will appear where you can select one of the packs. Then just download and install as normal. Oh yeah. It's a good idea to go to the Toontrack site and make a list of the ones you want beforehand.
  20. I tried RC, and ponied up and purchased. Yeah, the UI is pretty terrible and not intuitive at all. It’s good example of why companies need UI designers and should leave the programmers to the under-the-hood stuff. Like anything, if you already know how it works, you may not see what the problem is. However, as someone coming in cold, it is pretty much a mess. Sadly, the online tutorials are slow, unfocused and torture to watch. That all said, I love these type of plug-ins and have delved in to learn it. It is dang powerful and does some really cool stuff. I use Unity to get around Ableton’s limited VST MIDI routing capabilities and it works pretty well. (I have to do the same thing with Phrasebox.) I can already see me using some of the phrases in my EDM projects. IMHO what keeps RC from becoming a monster hit is the poor UI and lack of quality tutorials. I suspect the former will never happen, but the latter might. I’d do some tutorials myself if I didn’t think I would just add to the pile of crap LOL
  21. I must be slacking off...I didn’t even notice! Better get to spending ASAP.
  22. I know...what's up with that?! They aren't part of BF sale either.
