  1. A 70's band i liked. Swedish rock band Neon Rose. Supported Nazareth in Sweden. Reload by Neon Rose Love Rock by Neon Rose
  2. Probably some background process taking the focus away from the audio interface. Cakewalk knows that there should be sound there and outlines it but the audio interface can't fill it with sound. Until the background process is finished and lets the audio interface take control again.
  3. I would think extending a wave makes it sound different. But... https://www.audiopluginsforfree.com/paulxstretch/ You probably have to make a timeselection and loop it to hear something from paulxstretch. Maybe those could help in some way?
  4. This old thread suggest Bandlab assistant. I did an update post that directs to the new web installer after vanshsandhu made his post. It got moved up. 🥰
  5. It's not clear where you expect the sound to come from. In the preferences/audio/playback and recording select wasapi instead of asio. In the preferences/audio/devices - output drivers probably will have realtek. Select that. The audio track output is master. Change to that if it isn't. If it should come from the Casio there need to be a audio cable from the laptops audio out to Casios audio in.
  6. I would check if karaoke files could be of help.
  7. Could we have a picture of the track headers when you set that "mix" setting upper right to "all" ? My guess is that you don't have the track routing right. The staff have midi output that should go to the Halion track. To me it seems to go external to your Casio. It isn't crystal clear for me but all sound from speakers and headphones should be taken from your Focusrite 2i2.
  8. https://www.humblebundle.com/books/charles-platt-make-community-books?hmb_source=&hmb_medium=product_tile&hmb_campaign=mosaic_section_1_layout_index_2_layout_type_threes_tile_index_3_c_charlesplattmakecommunity_bookbundle Lots of "do it yourself" books in different areas. All items = 15.36 euro. Days left = 9
  9. Very likely. Use windows fileexplorer and go to C/User/Owner/Downloads/(folder name)-zip and rightclick on the "(folder name)-zip" and i think you should find an option to extract there. Or you could open a second fileexplorer window and make a folder named "your namechoice". Then move the files from "(folder name)-zip"to it. They will be copied there and are no longer compressed and can now be used in Cakewalk. I think windows has the ability to extract zipfiles in the rightclick menu. Personally i have downloaded and installed 7zip. Which is a free software that is able to extract lot of different compressed formats like zip, rar, ace and more.
  10. I only keep an eye on the development. Don't use early access. I don't use the insert menu. Only wanted to correct incorrect writings. About the insert menu. I could see early on that it would be awkward to use it with lots of plugins installed. So i use the browser and drag&drop. Which means: Whatever you early access users and developers decide is fine with me.
  11. Please update your knowledge on vst2 and vst3. Especially vst2 32-bit and 64-bit where the performance could play a roll. More exactly, very few vst2 in use today are 32-bit and have a need for jbridge.
  12. That suggest something happend with the settings when you set it up for recording. But why something is telling the transport to stop after one beat is the question.
  13. It's an ok plugin. There's a post about it in the DEAL forum. What's a bit problematic is that you send a file to their webserver and getting it back treated with their AI. If they after some time say you have to pay that would render it useless if you don't. As opposed to no-cloud plugins where you always can stay and use the last working version if it goes payware.
  14. Too much unknown. Could you please make a screenshot of the tracks.
  15. I use win7 and 8.1. You can make an image and save/load it to a harddrive of your choice. I do that for backups. I use either external ssd with usb3 or to a simple nas that i made out of an old windows home server with 4 disks. I just checked and my internet speed in a rent apartment house, Sweden Stockholm, is 207 Mbps down and 11 Mbps up. Cost is 50 euro/month.
  16. Why not any of these? https://www.amazon.com/usb-drive/s?k=usb+drive Low cost. Lot of space for files. Easy to remove and put in a drawer until needed again.
  17. What i would do is uncompress every file to folders of my choice and use those files. Then move the original compressed files, the whole pack, to a backup harddisk. If something goes wrong you can always go back to the backup, move it back, and start over again.
  18. That ".DS_Store" is indeed Macosx. Good luck uncompressing those. 🤕
  19. @User 905133 I think you found the reason why it can't be used. 👍 It makes sense that a media file that can't be played in windows is for Macosx. ADDED: Wait a minute...Mac has wav-files too. If it was a wav it would associate as Microsoft sound file. Being associated with a general media file suggests that the filetype is unknown but have some data in the header that says it has to do with media. This could then mean that it IS a Macosx-file but NOT a wav-file. If you learn how to display filetypes it would be easy to tell which files in a folder that are wav-files. It is also a bit safer to have the filetypes shown. Naked woman.jpg ---what you see without filetypes showing. Could fool you to think it is a picture. Naked woman.jpg.exe ---what you see with filetypes showing. Now you can see that this file is dangerous.
  20. I have a suspicion that the files is in some other format than wav. Then we need to know what filetype it is to decide the right way to handle this.
  21. @Music Meister Ok, that didn't give much info. I visited Cymatics. They're bad at info about exactly what formats the files have in a pack. Can you see the filetypes of your files? Is they *.wav?
  22. You could give information about where you got the samplepacks from and their name. That way we could check ourselfs what format it have and what needs to be done.
  23. As a follow up to my feedback for this version i can understand if the default display of audiofx tab under plugins in the browser is liked of users that mix often. So...why not introduce a command for Cakewalk.ini called "orderplugintab"? Orderplugintab = 1 //gives audiofx as the default tab to display. Orderplugintab = 2 //gives midifx as the default tab to display. Orderplugintab = 3 //gives instruments as the default tab to display.
