  1. hmm... I'll have to look into that. Mine is pre 'HR' designation, but that might just be labeling. Their last upgrade caused problems, and at Craig Anderton's suggestion, I stopped using the provided software. [the loopback I mentioned was for the PC audio card] Thank you.
  2. Thanks, but I'm not looking to change interfaces. So I'm not using my regular Tascam because of this, but simply the onboard sound card. I can get the signal into Reaper, for instance, by using WASAPI shared or loop back drivers, but am only hearing the source, and not the DAW with effects engaged. Also works with Audacity. I have Studio One, and Harrison, also, but I've used Cakewalk since our strictly sequencing days, so am checking here.
  3. Is there a way to still use online streaming or other internal sources in Cakewalk? Seems I did so in the past, but the driver modes aren't cooperating. I've found references to using Pyro, but I've only got that on an old machine [would it even work anymore?]. Not trying to import audio, but listen while using a plugin. The intent is to familiarize my ears to using Acustica's Sienna with various reference recordings.
  4. offset it was. Not turned on, but at some point I must have experimented with the track's setting while not realizing it was still in the mode. Thanks
  5. Ahh...good thought. Unfortunately, after logging on to use this forum, CW is insisting I sign in to BandLab to activate, and has frozen the DAW, so I can't check it. Thank you, though.
  6. I have a VSTI with its output set to mono. When routed to a stereo bus, the L output is higher than the R. If I change the bus to mono, it's properly balanced. Other instances of the same synth routed to the same bus behave normally. If I pan the output all the way L, the meters indicate this correctly, with just the left channel showing a signal. But panning all the way R does not get the expected result. Instead, the meters indicate considerable signal in both sides. Any suggestions on what is causing this? Some kind of interleave issue with this particular track? Thanks.
  7. Another vote for this. I've found it counterproductive since day one.
  8. This should be of interest to many, since MPE is available in a decent price range of controllers.
  9. Never liked TTS as well as the old Roland/Edirol VSC for generic sketching. All its colors went together well.
  10. There could be a number of reasons. For example, the Bandlab culture/experience/ambience has a different trajectory than a DAW - specific forum and community that has been in process for decades. People who are actually using Cakewalk will probably find a way here.

I've noticed this happening after previous changes. Sonitus multiband compressor, for example. Never got it back.
  12. They may not want a direct link, which I can understand.
  13. What a long strange trip it's been.
