  1. Report this individual, folks. Two policy violations. A political/bigoted post and then an inflammatory post against another member. We are responsible for ensuring this remains a friendly, civil forum. This individual serially does not represent those values.
  2. This isn't the place to voice political / anti LGBTQ views. Also, you got the whole thing wrong. Henson has a child who is transgender and tweeted a myth that re assignment surgery is happening to young children. That's factually untrue. The term "woke" is a long time African-American slang term referring to people being aware and empathetic to the injustices of others. A mob never formed against Henson. Leaders in the LGBTQ community asked for a discussion. Henson refused and quit. Spitfire has LGBTQ employees and that was clearly an issue. There's no woke mob. Leave your politics and intolerance off this forum, please. There are forum members of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, political views, genders and sexual orientations and all deserve to be treated with respect, not intolerance. You might not like people who are different from you, but you don't have the right to make this forum hostile to those people.
  3. Welcome back, Larry! We missed you, of course, but it's far more important -- and good to know -- that you're enjoying life! Looking forward to the pix and the stories.
  4. Hmm... Capitol Chambers for $49 US.... Tempting. The demos sound beautiful to my ears.
  5. I'm very confident that you're not alone. It's pretty clear from posts that a great deal of us hoard plugins and sample libraries, especially when they're free.
  6. I generally avoid Waves for the same reason. But I do love their Abbey Road plugins and I'll absolutely take another free plugin (I already have this one, since it just means a newer plugin with no need for WUP). But I've never had a Waves plugin stop working on me to date, so, I've never had to buy WUP.
  7. Fortunately, talent has never been a factor.
  8. Come on, what kind of self respecting hoarders would we be if we took the time to figure out what a FREE limited time plug does before we download it??? No way. Download, then figure out what it does!!!! There are only 200 licenses. Wait. We've become the equivalent of Pavlov's Dog but instead of a belll, we're triggered by the word "Free!" and especially when it's followed by "limited time" and/or "quantity. All these devs have our number. They have my number and I'm supposedly an expert marketer and understand how the formula works (it doesn't stop me from succumbing to it).
  9. Visit this page NOW to claim a free Waves Kramer HLS Channel plugin. The offer runs until 9am EST on April 14th: https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2024/04/11/free-waves-plugin/?fbclid=IwAR3Vv91z7nkOqkIOuq2ihJAmf2T-_yQFL69bPIjhk1nFn4zrCr1e2KC9mcM
  10. I only have Sky Box's 145B Wurli library and it's superb (I bought it on the recommendations of two forum members). Based upon the quality -- and creativity of the snapshots-- of that library, I agree with Craig and Fleer that this is an excellent developer. If I wasn't watching my budget and have a bunch of pianos, I'd likely get this. The demos sound excellent and that's a great price for this level of quality.
  11. Splash Sound, a KONTAKT sample developer, has released a plugin featuring a djembe sample library (not in the KONTAKT format, but available in their own plugin) simply called Djembe, and it's free. From the developer: For recording we used a 10-inch handmade mahogany djembe with a genuine leather membrane We recorded 3 microphone positions to maximum sound flexibility: The main condenser microphone capturing the vibrant membrane sounds, a dynamic microphone positioned opposite from the djembe's resonator for depth, and condenser stereo pair for recording room's acoustics Each of the articulations (Bass tone, Open tone, Slap tone, Flam, Mute and Roll) is recorded in 4 levels of velocity and 5 layers of round robin. GENERAL INFO: Version: 2.0.1 Released: April 9, 2024 Made for: Windows 7 or newer / MacOS 10.14 or newer Plugin Formats: VST3, AU, Standalone App FEATURES: 6 types of articulations: Bass tone, Open tone, Slap tone, Flam, Mute and Roll Velocity: 4 layers Round Robin 5 layers SOUND CONTROL: 3 fader mixer: Top (membrane) mic, Resonator mic, Room stereo pair. Reverb send Reverb size SAMPLES: 285 WAV samples (HR Compression) 44.1kHz / 24bit, stereo Total samples size: 98,9 Mb https://splashsound.org/djembe.html
  12. Lots of speculation why Behringer pulled this and if it's temporary or permanent. (I wasn't able to pick it up before it was taken down and thought I'd share a video of someone walking through the synth's presets). The developer behind Tone2 is publicly sharing concerns that Behringer has infringed upon his intellectual property rights. Some are wondering if that has anything to do with the synth suddenly being pulled with no statement from the company.
  13. So my guess is that their email targeting got some things wrong. It's not rare with small retailers. They're mostly using Shopify and connect it up to some email marketing SaaS, and this stuff can be tricky, so there's a fairly decent probability of user error. Hence, when some people on the email list who don't actually own a library get sent an email with an upgrade offer for something they don't own and others who don't own the library don't get that same email. Email lists are very highly personalized these days with tons of criteria that determines what an email subscriber sees. If the person administrating the software gets something a little off, you can wind up getting offers that weren't intended for you based on your buying behavior.
