  1. So smooth. Wonderful sax tone. Also this is one of those songs where I really notice the bass and appreciate how it contributes to the song. -Bjorn
  2. I like the intro with the piano and cello (?) Very nice gtr phrases! Vocal seemed a tad too upfront to me and I thought it could use a little delay, IMO. Good job. -Bjorn
  3. Rex, beautiful song! PBS had a documentary on country music a while ago and I think your voice is right up there with the best of them. Not sure if you consider yourself country, but the song and your voice certainly has that country ballad sound IMO. -Bjorn

    Starfield

Thanks! I wasn't sure about the drums but I guess the track worked out. Jeff - the picture was generated in MidJourney with AI. I typed in "spaceship bridge with psychedelic colors" and it came up with four somewhat related images and I chose the one you mentioned. -Bjorn

    Living

You always come up with really good accompaniment tracks to your vocals but I still have trouble understanding the words. Could be just me though. -Bjorn

    Monday

Oooo I'm liking this one. Short but sweet. -Bjorn
  7. Is that from NI Battery? This is one of those genres I've never tried. I like the contrast between the tricky beats in the background and the more sedate melody on top. -Bjorn
  8. Beautiful song and great lyrics! Vocal really stands out to me as well as the guitar work. Very nice! -Bjorn

    Stay With Me

Great song! You're going to have to write a song every anniversary from now on you know.😁 -Bjorn

    Starfield

Starfield - an intergalactic space voyage. I'm declaring this one finished after way too many changes and versions. Thanks for listening/comments. -Bjorn
  11. Lynn, Great title. In parts of the song, the orchestral instruments brought to mind a soundtrack from a 40s movie with an actor telling a story over flashbacks from the past. Probably not what you intended and just my off the wall point of view. I thought the orchestral instruments worked well (that bit around 1:50 👍) and the vocal track is up to your usual high standards. The repeated lyrics near the end would work better if just the last word or two in the phrase were used. IMO. -Bjorn
  12. The flute stands out really well, one of the better sampled instruments I've heard. Very nice melody on top of a jazzy score. Bonus: The birder that I am had to ID the bird in the picture. It's an Eastern Yellow Robin that lives in Australia. -Bjorn

    F THEM ALL

Steve, Well I guess you've expressed your feelings pretty well here and I totally understand what you're saying. I was one of those people once and I'll regret it forever. Very nice guitar work and a clear voc delivery. Great video too! I'm amazed you were able to get so many images that fit the lyrics. BTW I don't think you needed to put the warning on the vid. -Bjorn
  14. Good story, great music and video. I appreciate how the lyrics stand out so well. Terrific work on this. -Bjorn

    The Open Road

Thanks all. Appreciate the comments. Larry T - I was going to extend the ending, but I forgot. What else is new. Thx for pointing that out. Treesha - yep, there's something almost mystical about the landscape in that area. -Bjorn
  16. Hi Kevin, I don't believe I've ever seen that effect in a video before. Kind of mesmerizing. The soundtrack meshes really well with the story and I like the lyrics text popping up the way you did it. Great job! -Bjorn
  17. Professional level production. Sounds great! I could hear the orchestra bits and they fit in well with the band. -Bjorn

    June 21

Treesha , the picture and music make me imagine a pagan gathering at Stonehenge at summer solstice. Nice choice of instruments and melody lines that bring out mysterious doings. Wasn't sure at first about the percussive hits which seemed too metronome-like but they would work well as a soundtrack IMO. I'm still thinking of pagans dancing around a fire at Stonehenge here. Well done. -Bjorn
  19. Rex, you really don't need to doubt your abilities. You always put out some great songs and this one might be my favorite of yours. Seems to me it doesn't really need any tweaks except maybe on the low end? Wasn't sure I heard anything in the bass range, not that there needs to be anything there. -Bjorn

Thanks. I appreciate the comments. -Bjorn
  21. I'm not familiar with the Malevolent synth (great name) but I have a couple of software MS-20's that I really like. Been thinking of getting a mini like you have. Nice demo. -Bjorn

    4 U

Well produced, well mixed. Strong voc track. Couple questions: Seemed like breath sounds were emphasized instead of the usual reduction? Is that voc vibrato an Auto Tune thing? Thanks for posting. -Bjorn
  23. Makke, you do a nice job with your arrangements and playing of traditional folk songs. Great job. -Bjorn
