Cool, Waved Doubler? Ahh forgot I had to reinstall Windows and lost Waves Gold...

Problem was the start right? To thin alone, but in the mix with the rest, I dont want it to be to much sound. I might also lift the pad, or find a better sound on that. But that wont be til Saturday. Tomorrow its the Norwegian National Day, so I wont work that much tomorrow.

Here I have tried to fix some of what you mention. Same vocal recording tho. - New drumset. - No reverb on vocal. Just 300/500 delay with much diffusjon. - Made the vocal higer in the mix, Nore compression and limiting. - And straighten out levels of piano, guitar and synth. (Still some automation needs to be done for a propper mix) - Worked a little with Melodyne on my vocal tracks.

I want to record new lead vocal, but also I captured the freshness of trying out. I have a little mixed feelings about that. Rerecord vocal that fix just minor things , just go total nuts with Melodyne, or leave it as it is. Anyways. I need to record more voices on bgvocals...

Yeah. I'll mix it better. I'm just a bit shy to push my own vocal up. lol. But I use limiter and compression on the track. And thanks.

Well this is why I haven't been nagging you lately. Ive been preoccupied with a lovely lady. But this type of music is not my forte, so what do I need to do more on this? Better vocal track? more bg vocal, I am sure of. But the music? Do it need more Piano fills? Redo the whole rhythm guitar? Anyone wants to cooperate? PS! It is a work in construction so no need to nag about bad mix yet. Have to clean up SoundCloud so I delete the older versions…. "Final" version is here on this post now!

It is for my studio in in my livingroom in my new apartment. They are still building it so i have to wait on moving in... it is much smaller than what I got now. So I have to put the DAW with 28" screen, a Native Instruments S60 keyboard, 43 " media screen (I dont have TV) all in the same spot. There is also 2 setts of speakers and a center speaker that i wil have right under the media screen. I have to do it this way because it is a smaller apartment. But I have bought this one. So thats why. Better to own than rent, tho it really is the bank that owns it and noh me... lol

Yeah this is just the producers and drummers’ fault. They want to play perfect and don’t want to know it ruin the groove. As with Auto-Tune too. You can miss use everything. And in my opinion that is what they have done with much of POP music today. And some people think that great singer sounds bad because they ant heavy pitch corrected, then hey have ben ruined to not love life and what life is. When programming drums you can’t start to think like this or even take it into account. Ether way you can end up with drum machine sound or end up with drums sounding like a not so good drummer. Lol. And for pitch. I think its great to have tools that can fix things. I have many perfect takes but one note (ore section) was ether wrong or bad, now you can give the singer a break and just fixt this small thing. Listen to Ken Tamplin talking about the 80 and recording vocals. They used to record 80 – 250 tracks of vocal, depends on the studio and the vocalist, but they wanted to try out different flair and techniques in the vocal that took time in the studio. Now you can do it so much faster with a few tracks and just make the parts you want fit together with Melodyne. And another think. Not every rock artist can record as a band live in the studio. And saying that “that” is what’s wrong is just stupid. It’s like my classmate in the 80’s stated that only Iron Maiden is true music because they are the only one on the scene playing as a band (live together) in the studio. Yeah cool for them. But for others that has other ways of recording songs, that’s cool too. It is the end result that’s what people hear anyways. And like Bach and Brandenburg concertos, I bet he newer heard them played himself. As I have heard, they were made as a job CV to show what he could do. And was put in a drawer and laid there for 100 years. So, is those Concertos bad because there was no live performance involved in the composition and making of the music? And I dont have 2 cents. I have NOK... Do you guys take that? Or can anyone change i 1 Norwegian Krone to 2 cents?

I have Audix CX-111 as my main vocal microphone. Its ok. Wasnt Antares making a mic sim before? You could put in what mic you had and what you wanted it to sound like?

Ola seems like a just funny guy, but he has a sence for economics, work ethic and the like! I also listen closely when he talks about that the time of album releace is over. But he have just released on. Kol. But its more in the line that you dont earn minst ogåf the album, but of what you can do with the music on it.
