  1. 3.10.3 doesn't work correctly on my system.  I needed to revert back to 3.10.2 which works as expected.  The only thing is that NA insists on updating every time I close out NA.  Luckily, I can cancel that update each time.   I might try again with the next NA update.

The problem is if you open Asshat it will update without leaving you the choice,  Worse than a virus.

Thanks for that advice.  I won’t need to open it for awhile, and hopefully in the mean time this gets fixed.

  3. SpectraLayers 10.0.50 February 2024

This version contains the following improvements and issue resolutions.

Issues resolved Issue Using the magic wand tool no longer renders the application unreliable.

VST 3 effects are now always detected after a rescan.

Layers with special characters in their name can now be exported as files or dragged to the host timeline correctly.

Play (space), preview (ctrl+space), bypass (ctrl+b) and apply shortcuts (ctrl+enter) are now triggered correctly.

The maximized state is now saved and restored correctly when relaunching SpectraLayers (Windows only).

The Documents folder is now suggested as the default save folder when no previous folder existed.

Online notification now always follows user preferences. In ARA mode, if the playhead cursor is moved in the host application before the displayed range, the displayed range now follows as expected. Exporting files with meta data (artist, album...) ending with quotation marks now also works in formats others than .wav

Dang, that does look like a nice program.

Rebelle 7 pro is a wonderful program.. There are just a few things Rebelle can’t do, at least as far as I know, and that is that you can’t add text to a composition.

Otherwise, Rebelle 7 has been a great investment for me.

  7. Personally, I was disappointed in Photosounder.  Maybe I didn't explore it as much as I should have.  I wrote the developer a very simple, general question, but have never heard anything back from them.  The $19 program is something called Spline EQ, and Photosounder itself is $29 at Pluginboutique.

  9. I just watched the video on Rebelle 7 Pro referenced by mettelus above.  Awesome new features! AND just downloaded and installed my copy of Rebelle 7 Pro.  A few new things to learn, but it will be well worth the time.  Rebelle 7 pro does quite a few things that Corel Painter 2023 doesn't do, like the Metallic materials and something they call 'Structures.' I also love the way Rebelle handles watercolors.  Hands above Corel, in my opinion.   Of course, Corel Painter 2023 does a few things Rebelle doesn't.

You can save your works in progress in Rebelle to a photoshop PSD file.  As to how Rebelle's new features translate into either PaintshopPro or Corel remains to be seen.

Besides the great intro price, another reason I am slowly migrating to Rebelle 7 Pro is that I had read there is a strong possibility that Corel Painter 2023 maybe the last version of Painter for quite a while.

One more compressor to round out my collection to over 100, or a nicely discounted Rebelle7 pro?  Some Black Friday decisions are so difficult, but I think you all can guess which one I choose!🫠

  10. Out of all the Black Friday deals out there, this one for the upcoming Rebelle 7 pro at such a reduced price is the one that interested me the most.

I had occasionally looked for a deal on Rebelle6, but when a pre-order Rebelle 7 pro presented itself this morning, I did jump on it!  Yes, I will need to wait for three weeks till the release date, but I don’t think I will find a better entry into the Rebelle world than this.

and yes, I split my hobbies into the recording of musical notes and the recording of the swipes of my paint brush!

  13. I had to create a new account with a different email address.  Then the discount code worked.  It wouldn't work under my original account.  It took a few steps to download the .zip file under the new account and move the unzipped files to the appropriate folder into my Mntra library folder.  I tried talking with 'chat,' but they are apparently out for the day.  But working now.  Thanks for the tips.

Anyone made a purchase today that didn't buy Ozone or Nector in Aug and still got the upgrade for $42?

Perhaps I don't want to say this too loudly, but yes! It has been a while since I bought the 5.2 package.

Frankly, for the changes in Ozone 10 to Ozone 11, $42 seemed about right.  I will try Guitar Rig 7 in the next few days, and perhaps that will even sweeten the deal.

I am still irritated that Izotope discontinued the standalone Ozone interface with the last update.  Most of all it just changes my workflow. Izotope said, "The reason for this was that the usage metrics were very low (about 95% of Ozone users only use the plug-ins)."  What they didn't account for was that perhaps a lot of customers turned off those metrics.  I know I did.  Who knows if that actually turned off anything?!

Kind of hilarious that any changes I make in cookies or metric reporting are probably meaningless now that .aax plugins are added to my computer, whether I purposely customize my install process through the Izotope install process, or not!

The other thing I noticed about the Izotope website is that my purchases no longer show up.  And I purchased plenty over the years directly through their website.  I am instructed to go to Digital River to see that.

Just installed MNDALA 2.3 but it is saying in the information pannel I am running v2.2.0 still. Why is this? I then uninstalled the old version and re-installed it but still it is saying v.2.2.0?I also noticed that it installed VST3 not VST3i.

You may want to contact the developers. I have found them to be quite responsive with a few issues I have had in the past.
