  1. If you play rhythm guitar and who doesn't, and some version of melodyne installed then here is the recipe.

    1. Turn off the metronome so you can't hear it.

    2. Record your song the way you would play it.

    3. (Work around step today) create a big melodyne region effect from your rhythm guitar track.

    4. Drag the rhythm guitar track up to the time-line and drop it there.

Sonar and Melodyne will modify the tempo map to match your playing. Now all midi can be quantized to that varying tempo map and time based effects will follow it too.

    Game changer

  2. When the new forum went online I could not post, only read as I stubbornly use the Seamonkey browser and integrated email client.

Seamonkey doesn't do a lot of things as the web standards march on and Seamonkey development does not keep up so I don't complain but use another browser to do those other things if need be.

Last night I replied to a post without realizing that I was using the monkey browser to do it. until I was done, then I realized whatever was keeping the forum from letting me post with monkey was gone!

So I shall pester you all further.

  3. Ok, you know how sock matches go missing.

I have evidence now that indeed the dryer is a port hole to somewhere. I was doing our wash this weekend and had two loads of the mrs. laundry in two baskets. She's fussy about her socks and collects them in all different colors. When pulling her load 1 out of the dryer to fold up everything I noticed, ru-ro, I'm missing a sock, I put it aside and began to transfer load 2 to the dryer I found it's mate in that wet batch. So cool! and threw it all in the dryer minus the stuff I'm not to dry and back to life I went. When load 2 in the dryer was done I unloaded it ad folded everything as per usual but there was no sock. I looked all in the dryer cause Jerry Seinfeld told us of their M.O ya know, but no, It's gone!

I imagine it could be clung to the inside of the mrs jeans..... but yeah.

  4. I do it like this.

I free style record on my guitar the song I have trusting my tempo as I wrote it this is how it goes.

Then tempo extract that track so other tempo based items effects and midi can lock to the free form tempo. For upbeat stuff this is almost always around 120 bpm it seems.

  5. One thing you can do with an email client is install and use anti-spam software of your choosing. With web mail you are at their mercy in terms of what spam filter if at all is used. If you use outlook, then for every antispam program there is surly a plug-in for it.

    Spam fighter is one.
