  1. Whoever writes these lists obviously has never heard Paul McCartney's "Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time".
  2. Took another listen to it with fresh ears. The honk seems to be sitting around 700hz. Kinda sounds like a cocked wah pedal. The best advice I can give in my very limited experience, so please forgive me if you've already tried it, is try to find an IR or blend of IR's that sounds the closest to what you want from the start. If you think you'll have to notch a bunch of freqs, skip it. I've tried to EQ-shoehorn IRs into what I wanted and it just sounded *****. And take a lot of breaks to let your ears reset. Some tones I spent quite a while trying to get, thought they sounded great only to come back the next day, again, sounded *****.
  3. Np, hope it helps! That's just the waves SSL E channel.
  4. Imported the file and played with the eq a bit, this seemed to lessen the honk to my ears at least. It's obviously affecting the whole mix and it's all subjective anyway so take it with a grain of salt.
  5. Fwiw, the plugin intends to emulate the boss HM-2 Heavy Metal pedal, not the MT-2 Metalzone. It was the HM-2 that when dimed created that early Entombed, In Flames tone.
  6. http://forum.cakewalk.com/m/tm.aspx?m=2191653&p=1 Could also put some white noise / sine wave through them and compare them on an analyzer to get a bit more scientific idea of their differences. I'm sure there are far more experienced people here who could help out more.
  7. I'd like to see those return as well. The Prochannel is a unique defining feature that sets Cakewalk apart. It would be wonderful for the pay modules to be restored and the Prochannel module line expanded in general.
