  1. BREAKING NEWS.......BREAKING NEWS........BREAKING NEWS.......BREAKING NEWS........BREAKING NEWS.......BREAKING NEWS........BREAKING NEWS....... A wedding photographer was killed in a freak accident today when a large block of cheese fell from the bell tower of the church and landed on his head while he was taking a group shot of the bride and groom with their respective families. Friends among the onlookers confirmed that the wedding party tried to alert him , but sadly he made no attempt to move out of the way.
  2. As far as I can make out it's a website for people who, despite all the contrary evidence that they post on a daily basis, still somehow believe that their lives and opinions are interesting.
  3. What do you think is the message here...?
  4. It's hard to imagine the mental gymnastics that a person who pretends to be furry must go through to convince themselves that they might have any credibility whatsoever.

    Question!

I've long since thought that any part of the CW experience that bandlab people actually have a hand in is dreadful. Bandlab assistant was the start of that feeling. I can't recall a single occasion where it just worked. Next they "improved" the forum (!) and as for Sonar's old name with new make up relaunch......something about an inability to organise a social event in a brewery is mostly what springs to mind.

  7. The one word that first came to mind......... Rehearsed.
  8. That's nearly as long as my........ ruler. I think I'd be telling them that their courier can collect it when they deliver the new one. Either that or a refund and then their courier can collect it whenever they like.
  9. Many moons ago where I worked we had a dedicated courier collection who come in every day at around 4pm to take the many parcels that would be despatched on a daily basis. This guy's day was a regular delivery round in the am/early pm then he came directly to us and basically didn't leave until we were ready to call it a day. Sometimes if he wanted out of there sooner because he had evening plans he would also help make up the parcels to get things moving quicker. One day, opening the door of his van to help him load up what was usually an empty van I saw he had a huge box on there which if it contained what the box said it was, then it was the latest mucho expensive Yamaha flagship synth. The box appeared to be unmolested and he said that as far as he knew it contained exactly what it said it did. I made the kind of noises that suggested how much I would like one of those and he said that if I wanted it, then I could take it. The reason it was still in there was because it was never supposed to be in his van in the first place and as it didn't appear on his now completed scheduled delivery manifest (he showed it to me) then as far as any records showed he didn't have it, never did have it, so nobody would be expecting him to return with it..... It was very tempting, but I figured that it was too good to be true and would come back to bite me somehow, so I left it there. I have no idea what he's up to these days. but maybe he works for "that" courier now.😀
  10. He'll say anything for a biscuit...
  11. Truth and political talk are very far from being the same thing.😀
  12. Joining a "waiting list" to give someone money.....
  13. FWIW I've had instances where replacing an instrument track synth via synth rack doesn't change the name of the track to reflect that change - ie it retains whatever the name of the replaced synth was. Also there are instances where when inserting a synth instrument track I have to manually set the output of the midi track to make it correct instead of it defaulting to the first output like it used to.
  14. That's a very distressing mental image you've painted there. Let's just hope than any unfortunate seepage or oozing on your part doesn't also ruin a perfectly good keyboard.😉 On a more positive note, if it's any consolation to your decomposing self, you will at least live on somewhere among the random shuffle mode of my various music players. You last made an appearance in my car only a few weeks weeks ago.
  15. Another weird move given that the new version isn't even properly available yet. I can see me going back to Platinum if this is how it's going to be.
  16. They'd also need to not have the same keybed as the MK2 keylab though. I waited ages for my local retailer to get a black one in stock and when they did I went straight over there to get it. Came away without it even though they'd already said they would match a big discount that I'd found online. I'm no pianist, so I'm not used to weighted keys at all, but it felt like that thing was broken in some way. I thought maybe it was just my inexperience of such things, so while I was there I quickly tried a Nord Stage Piano and a Roland RD2000 that were handily placed, just so that I had something to compare it to and that's what really made me decide against it. Maybe it's good for piano playing, I couldn't say, but Astrolab is more synth than anything and it seems to me like that particular key action might not be the best fit. Now I'm wondering if Astrolab actually IS their idea of a MK3 keylab and that's why they've only released the cheapo MK3 versions.
  17. I can solve both those problems for you..... Try drinking a cup that unbeknown to you was made with water that passed through a really manky old floor cloth on it's way to the cup. Worked for me....now just the smell of it makes me feel like I'm about to see the last thing I ate again.
  18. https://device.report/arturia/astrolab-88 It seems that one is on the way, but who knows when with Arturia. They do seem quite fond of dragging out a product launch.
  19. I didn't comment on the price because it seems that these days all manufacturers must get together and use the WPWPx2* algorithm to decide the price. * What Paulo Would Pay x 2.
  20. Yeah. It's a bit of a strange one....they talk of it as "taking the studio to the stage", but then made it look like a piece of designer furniture that should never leave the home. The central controller screen/wheel is fine when just noodling ideas about in the "studio", but looks less than ideal for live purposes. That's not to say that I don't quite like it, just that for me it misses the point of what they say the point of it is. A MK3 keylab with a NI sized screen and V collection/ALV built in is more like what it needed to be to achieve the stated aim.
  21. They have teamed up with bandlab and are announcing a new range of midi/daw controllers - The Sonarturia Bandkeylab. 25 years and beyond refers to the expected timescale bandlab will need to figure out how much it costs.
