  1. from the Manual: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=SoftSynths.04.html#:~:text=Click the PlugIns tab followed,on the pop-up menu. Hope this is what you are trying to do. It you have a simple instrument track (Midi and instrument combined) you should be able to right click on the track and then select "replace synth" to pick a new one. Another option is to duplicate your midi to a new midi track, insert a new synth and then point midi track to the new instrument.

    bad mic quality

While there are better mics you should be able to get a usable signal and output with this mic without sounding muffled. Make sure you have the correct driver selected for you mic and that your project bit depth and sample rate match what the mic can do.
  3. First off, make sure that you have the most recent PreSonus Asio driver installed. Also, make sure that there are no other rogue ASIO or ASIO4All drivers on your system. From preferences in Cakewalk make sure that you are using the ASIO driver model and have the Presonus selected. If you are still getting clicks and pops on record check that directly monitoring through the Presonus, not through Cakewalk, sounds as you would expect. If this all fails then you may need to download and run Resplendence LatencyMon program to see what in your system might be causing these issues. As far a Cakewalk quitting on you, you would need to capture a dump file to send to Cakewalk staff to see if they can determine why it would be quitting. This is usually due to a audio interface driver issue or a plugin.
  4. This is the job of a control surface in cakewalk. You could try to setup a generic control surface and then map the notes that your pad's send out to move the selected track. I don't know the details of this but maybe the documentation would give you some clues. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=ExternalDevices.03.html
  5. I can't find a way to remove them all but you could bypass them all and then select all the clips and bounce them. That would get rid of the region fx without applying it to the clips. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Region_FX.01.html
  6. Sorry, I don't know how to fix what you are describing. You are saying that the now time scrolls but it not smooth and goes in spurts right? Could be a graphics issue or a CPU or Hardrive load issue. Can you create a new empty project, jut put in a single audio file or midi instrument and see if it plays back smooth or does it do the same thing?
  7. Sounds like your guitar's pickups are picking up a radio station?
  8. You must be opening a project or a template that contains these instruments. Cakewalk does not load VST's just upon opening. If you no longer use these instruments then you could try to delete them off your hardrive. If you still use them but just not in the particular project then make sure you remove not just the track but the instrument themselves from the synth rack. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Browser.11.html
  9. This seems like an issue you would need to ask Donner about. Cymbal chokes are just another midi note that needs to be mapped to the correct articulation in desired drum software. You can check what midi note the cymbal choke registers as by recording the midi of your drum controller and seeing what note is recorded when you do the choke.
  10. I know in a midi track you can apply swing by quantizing the midi notes and specifying a swing value. Don't know of any way to do the whole project unless you can select all the tracks and apply the quantize to all of them at once.
  11. Hard to tell why this would happen but it looks like it did create a crash dump. Send that to the developer of the plug-in and they may be able to tell why it is crashing and fix it. Otherwise, try to re-install your plugin. Completely un-install it and then re-install it.
  12. Are you saying the midi files have some sort of time offset built into them? I have never heard of that. I just grab a midi file and drop it where I want it usually.
  13. Did you record to a removable drive or have a removable drive or thumb drive connected to your machine? You can use a search tool like "Everything" to search all your hard drives for any wave files. Easier if you know the track names or clip names that were created. Do you have a backup?
  14. I looked for "Archive" shortcuts after seeing your post abut could not find any as well.
  15. It just give you the physical controls rather then using a mouse. Although you can also assign knobs and slider to control synth parameters, effect parameters etc.
  16. Do you have a midi device show up in the Midi->Devices? I think you have to have a midi interface show up and be selected for you to assign an instrument to it. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Dialogs2.059.html#:~:text=Cakewalk lets you assign a,see during your Cakewalk session.
  17. Is this a stereo mix or do you have stems for all the instruments? Also, you can try different offline rendering methods to see which sounds the best. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR X3&language=3&help=AudioSnap.23.html PS. When you say 74% I am assuming you mean you slowed the audio down?
  18. This is probably not the sub-forum for a questions like this. You will get more attention in the https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/2-cakewalk-by-bandlab/ forum. When you hit apply it will apply the setting changes but not close the dialog. You have to hit "OK" to apply and close.
  19. Not that I am aware of. It supports VST2/3 and some older DirectX plugins. I don't know what a *.spp file is.
  20. Are the drivers you are trying to get from Cakewalk or Roland? I think you would have to contact Roland to get the drivers. If you think they are in your Cakewalk account then contact Support@cakewalk.com
  21. When you split an audio clip and want to get rid of the parts that are no longer audible then "bounce" the clip. That will create a new clip and the audio that was "clipped" should be able to be removed as long as it is not referenced somewhere else.
  22. I would respectfully disagree. I think the new tempo track is much easier to work with and more consistent with other views. Is there something you cannot do in the tempo track that you are trying to do? You can draw in tempos in various ways. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Tempo.07.html#2014254
  23. I think one of the developers mentioned that the performance module is just monitoring the audio processing and not the GUI and other system tasks, at least in one of its modes. Check out the documentation. I think it explains it. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=ControlBar.09.html
  24. the project still seems to think that you have it inserted on bus:"Slap Delay". Have you checked that bus to see if you still have it in the effect rack or prochannel effect block? If it is not there then maybe something got out of sync or corrupt in the project file. In that case you could either try to re-create the project or do a "save as" and make sure to copy all the audio with your save.
