  1. I'm having a hard time getting my 18i20 v1 or rather the Mix Control set up so I can reamp CbB tracks through my pedalboard and/or my Katana 100 MKII (a gift from Otto Laven!). So after reading SK/Eric's comment, I think I should take his advice and retackle it. Thanks!
  2. Nope It's another $250 for the Capture box
  3. RE your comment; can this be done with only the ToneX Pedal (and AT)? Or is the ToneX capture required, also?
  4. I got all but I feel fine and In my life and a 3rd early one...(?).... ironically I tend to play the lick to IFF and often play In My Life on various instruments.....
  5. I'm still playing my bass parts - Blacktop Jazz with double P pickups and lately I'm using the bx_bassdude and CLA-3, which I'm very happy with. I did have to sell my last baritone (I've had 4 so far) for a car repair and while trying to use the SoundIron Baritone, someone suggested MODO Bass. Instantly.... well, a little adjusting/tweaking and I was really pleased and relieved that I can put off getting another one. ..... a longhorn Dano would be very cool/fun! So, Jim, I'm not surprised by your post at all.
  6. His drum parts on oh so many favorite songs/albums are still a joy to hear. I also loved his Hammond part on Jackson Browne's Under the falling sky. I can think of two times I got to hear/see him; Mad Dogs and Derek & the Dominos both in Chicago...... I trust that he is at peace now.
  7. This seems a little odd. In WC my v14 plugs show an update, but in my account it shows all of the v14's as "latest version".... I'm not going to subscribe, but I should still update my v 14s?
  8. Since the ToneX Pedal "Includes TONEX MAX software all-in-one player, modeler and librarian and AmpliTube 5 software" and I assume we can use Jam Points. Then $280 seems pretty reasonable!
  9. Thanks abacab. I saw that and LOL Steve, but they are having a buy 2 get 2 deal for a couple more days....
  10. Whoa the intro pad to this particular Knifonium video is quite the selling point! and the guy is offering that preset for free (well signing up to his site)
  11. Thanks. I'm checking it out right now. I didn't have any extra funds the various times it was on sale there.... maybe now.
  12. Oh cool. I had no idea about the pdf. I agree about it being a great sounding synth! I just got the Cherry Audio GX-80, too. So it definitely feels like a fun winter here! You're right! Those Luftrum presets sound excellent! I'll have to put that $29 aside ...... LOL Michael
  13. Thanks abacab! I started watching some tuts on YouTube and had been shown I should be using the field that says "Untitled". Little by little. LOL I am enjoying the sounds a lot!
  14. I can't load any of the 351 presets in bx-Oberhausen, though the preset folder shows up. I keep getting "Invalid File" and can see the extension. It's a .papreset file, but that hasn't helped me any. Anyone with advice/experience/solutions? Thanks Michael
  15. Thanks to MiMo I learned to make some .spp files and still have a couple to do, unless someone beats me to it. LOL bx_bassdude presets.spp bx_masterdesk Classic.spp bx_tuner presets.spp bx_yellowdrive presets.spp Suhr PT100 presets.spp
  16. I have 33 PA plugs and learned from MiMo, so I have the presets - .spp files loaded and can create/import/export them, which I'm quite pleased with (not being that much of a PC type). I have 3 PA plugs that I'm hung up on. Noveltec Vocal Enhancer; can load a preset from the VST3 pull down, but not save to CW bx_oberhausen; I can see the presets but not load one of the 351 Factory VST3 ones (hence I can't save either) Double MS: doesn't even show up, though I installed (again) I mostly care about the oberhausen presets. Instead of having VST3 preset extensions, it has .papreset and I always get "Invalid File" Also, because of my lack of knowledge, the PA preset bundle download comes with Internal and External folders. I am not sure what that means. I'd like to assume it's the difference between the VST3 pull down and the Cakewalk Save-able one, but would rather find out. Thanks
  17. OK OK I'm tinkin' 'bout it. Do I need it? Would I used it? Hmmmm It seems suspicious that I got interested AGAIN at another $1.60 off, though! LOL
  18. Thanks to all of (you) the "above". I have exactly $40 LOL and a Fishman Spectrum AND some nice mics (MA200, MA101fet, M160, ADK Thor )but not a good tracking room/space. I am considering this Nembrini and now going to go explore the 3sigma IR options. I also have the United QuickAG which I thought might help, since I want to "cover" my acoustics, mandolin and violin.... Well, at least I have a couple more days to decide and now feel more informed than yesterday! LOL
  19. @jack c. An easy way to create some dynamic variation is to have instruments drop out and/or add some reverb so that some seem 'further" back in the "room".... Having a spot where the vocal is only supported by a "thin" sounding instrument, will make the re-entrance of all them sound bigger and dramatic. Simply having your choruses be bigger/louder than the verses is the main way to get some variety. Creating a middle that's bigger or much smaller sounding will make it stand out from the body of the track, too. Using automation to bring things to the foreground (of the listener's attention), like moving the high hats up or down/back, bringing in a certain guitar here or there is always good mixing technique. The things to change are frequencies, tonality, arrangement, panorama, depth etc. have a spot with just bass or something high and ephemeral have a spot with no bass and another with no drums etc have things on far left/right drop out to "showcase the center" or vice versa Like drummers used to switch to their ride cymbal for the chorus or the bell for the biggest section of the song, use more or busier sometimes and less or quieter in between...... Michael
  20. This may have been suggested, but it seems like either having a button to quickly switch between mixing and tracking settings (buffers) would be very handy.
