OP probably would have been able to press F1 and get his answer if they hadn't unnecessarily removed the Context-Sensitive Help file from the installer.

Possible, but not probable.  It's easier to just post here.  :/
I think that's what Chuck E Baby and David Baay were alluding to.

On the old forum, there used to be links (and posts) that pointed to things like "CakeTV" and other materials that explained things like this.

There is definitely a need to bring those things back (updated of course).

  2. Thanks for that!

I was wondering when Steinberg was going to put it out.

I have WL9.5 so I'm excited to see what's next...

Sad thing is I've just started getting into the new stuff from 9.5 (like the MasterRig and some of the other new tools)..

Well.. I'll wait a little, but this may be a near future purchase.. :)

Is there some way to make it more manegeable?

I typically turn the track gain down (by a lot) on Zeta+2.  You're right.  It's quite loud and can really be annoying when you think about it.

I would also consider making a track template out of it.  You can start with a default setting but turn everything down so it's not jumping out at you.  Just a thought.

there are multiple options for add note in PRV.

    This 👍👍👍

Pressing "T" gets you the smart tool.  Also using the function keys (F5 through F11) will allow you to toggle through the smart tool functionality.

I use the PRV all the time for editing and rearranging.  This keeps things simple and straightforward.

Sure I can double click (or Alt+click), but understanding what the smart tool has to offer speeds things up a bit.

EGGGGGZACTLY!  Yup - I absolutely LOVE track templates, and in addition to setting up one for every drum kit I use, I also have some standard ones for individual synths with specific presets, including associated audio and midi tracks and settings, and some commonly grouped instruments I use with Kontakt - like Piano, Strings, Bass, and Organ.  It is nice to have all the levels, tracks, sounds, and assignments set up and brought into projects as needed, with just a couple of mouse clicks.

I also have some standard Project Templates set up, that I can quickly select from and launch one, when I get some noodle running around in my head, and want to capture it in some fashion - prior to it evaporating from my brain.  These would include the whole raft of stuff connected to a Battery 4 drum kit or AD2, as well as a few flavors of instruments - all done to speedily get me up and running in a pre-fab project to record my noodles.  (I often tap out odd-metered rhythms on the steering wheel when out and about, and will launch one of these noodle templates as soon as I get back home, before my brain switches to another channel).

Life is SO much easier when levels are saved with already reasonably set output levels - so rather than having to do identical gain staging anytime I load the same Kontakt piano, I will - (ahead of time) - get the desired one loaded up and its output volume dropped down in the neighborhood of -18 dB, and then save it in the same folder as it would normally come from, with a new name - (nothing fancy - I just add "00-GS", without the quotes, to the front of its original instrument name).  That way, whenever I want to open the folder for that piano, to see the available instruments to choose from, any of the ones I already set levels for show up alphabetically at the top of the instrument list, so I see those first.

I just LOVES Me those Track and Project Templates in CbB.  :)

  6. I was able to use the draw (line) setting on the smart tool in the tempo view and draw a very precise tempo increase.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but I got it straight from the documentation:

To steadily increase or decrease the tempo in the Tempo view

1.Enable Groove Clip Looping on any audio clips that you want to follow the tempo changes. Do this by selecting one or more clips, right-clicking a selected clip, and choosing Groove > Clip Looping from the pop-up menu. Each clip that has Groove Clip Looping enabled has beveled edges instead of sharp corners. The same command disables Groove Clip Looping on any selected clip that has Groove Clip Looping enabled.

2.Select the Line tool  in the Control Bar.

3.Drag a line in the graph from the starting time and tempo to the ending time and tempo.

SONAR introduces a linear series of tempo changes.

    Hi Arlen ,

A few other people thought there was something funny going on w the Bass in my other mix .

On this Mix I did take a lot of the rumble out in Cakewalk .

I think some may be getting added back to my stereo file during the  pseudo mastering stage .

That's possible.  It's not abrupt, just noticed it over the coarse of listening.

    Still love the jam though.

So you give your solos names?  I never thought of that.

Will have to think about that. ..💡
