@AndyB01 Thanks, so much, Andy! 😃 John B

Thanks @noynekker. And thanks also for pointing that out. It most certainly is not a pop song. I have to change that designation in SC. 😃John B

This song starts with the question, "Why do I do this? What's the point?" There are other easier hobbies I could explore that wouldn't be quite so nerve-racking but when I reach the end of the long process it suddenly becomes worth it. The last part of the song, I guess, reveals the reason. Featuring Toontrack EZ Keys & EZ Drummer 2, UVI Orchestral Suite, Trilian Bass Module, NI Session Strings Pro 2. https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14308700 Hope you enjoy. 🙂 John B

Interesting chord weaving. Lovely. The timing sounds a bit loose, but I think you're doing that intentionally. It works. 🙂 John B

Nice atmosphere created between piano, strings and voice. Meditative. 🙂 John B

Welcome. I didn't hear it before you edited it, but it sounds pretty good to my ears now. Maybe just roll off a tad more hi on the lead. 🙂John B

Referring back to this thread I posted a week or two ago: I did as advised and ran a repair install from Waves Central. It was fine for a few days, but it showed up again the other day. Again, this doesn't happen real often and if I close the project and reload it the problem seems to go away. Anything else I can try before contacting Waves? Next time it happens I'm going to take a screen capture of the 3 errors so you can see them. Thanks; 🙂John B

All seems well right now with mine. Don't remember last time I saw a BSOD. Drivers I have on now are 4.87.4-709. Security settings on my above mentioned new music PC wouldn't allow me to DL from Firefox, so I took a memory stick over to my laptop, which did allow access and transferred the file to my new PC and installed it. 🙂John B

Thanks so much. I'll try that. John B 😃

Thanks, @Craig Anderton. I'm not at my PC now. Does Waves Central have a repair install feature, or should I just do an installation over top of the current one? John B 😃😀😃

Yesterday, I did as advised in this thread: As Scook advised, I removed CbB with the BL Assistant. Then I installed Sonar X3 and ran the most current update I had (E from 2015) and then reinstalled CbB. I got all of the Blue Tube plugins back and everything seemed to work OK but now I find when I launch a project I occasionally get an error in CbB that says that my Waves SSL E Channel strip will not load for the track which I have it loaded into. It proceeds to open the project with the SSL in parenthesis and if I click on the SSL channels on that or any of the other tracks I have it in it says that the plugin has crashed. If I close the project and relaunch it most times it reloads OK. Any answers? Thanks 🙂John B

Smart Tool Not Allowing Me to Edit CC Commands Manually
Johnbee58 replied to Johnbee58's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I think I figured it out, but would clicking on the Smart Tool and selecting "Enable All" have anything to do with it? When I did that it seemed to work. This is a new install on a new machine. Thanks 😀 -
Did something change with the Smart Tool on a recent update? I don't use the mod wheel. I used to be able to change damper pedal setting with CC64 manually with the Smart Tool. It used to remain a "Up/Down" arrow. Now it changes to a write tool and will not allow me to move the CC64 damper settings manually? Could somebody please explain the change and how I can go back to doing this the way I used to? Thanks 🙂John B

I appreciate your input, Jim. I should have done more research on this before I went ahead with this SSD thing. I wanted it for the speed in loading plugin heavy projects. I guess I was thinking along the line of the fact that SDDs have no moving parts as opposed to a platter drive moving at 5400-7200 RPMs, but it seems as if every technology has it limitations at one place or another. I really don't want to complicate things with the multiple drives thing. I managed to do 63 projects with my old system and it still has some life in it. I just hope I can get at least that many with this new one. Because of my age, this will probably be the last PC dedicated for the purpose of making music. I do a project backup after every session. 😀John B

I removed the 4.65.5 drivers and installed the drivers that Focusrite linked me to. Hopefully that will solve my problem. I will keep you posted on the progress. Thanks all. 🙂 John B
