  1. Tip: Walkthrough guides! 👍 One example: Myst Walkthrough overview - https://www.trueachievements.com/game/Myst/walkthrough/1 Myst General hints and tips - https://www.trueachievements.com/game/Myst/walkthrough/2 Myst Myst Island Hub - https://www.trueachievements.com/game/Myst/walkthrough/3 Another:
  2. Obduction is an amazing game! Still need to finish it. I got deep into it, but had a turn of life events that pulled me away long enough to lose the momentum. When I find time, will start at the beginning again. I can't think of another game that got my attention like that one! And did you pick up Myst 2021 with that Cyan bundle? The re-imagined Myst version produced in real-time 3D and VR.
  3. I wasn't going to buy anything today, so this may appease the GAS symptoms a bit this weekend... 🤪
  4. Another one of those "blink and you'll miss it" deals... 😜
  5. The Kilohearts hosts have the games: Phase Plant has "Phase Invaders", SnapHeap has "Asteroider", and Multipass has "Snake!". I say, I say, hey son whatcha doin playing games? Yer sposed to be making music!
  6. Kilohearts Essential Vs. Cherry Audio Voltage Modular? Apples and oranges, if you are referring to the Snapin hosts "Snap Heap" and "Multipass". Not tone generators. They are modular FX processing chains, that can only use only the Kilohearts Snapins, i.e., "walled garden". Although these Snapin hosts can be used as VST FX plugins elsewhere, so your Snap Heap presets are portable. But if you are referring to the Kilohearts synth host, Phase Plant, it is a semi-modular synth that you can add as many supported oscillators (including your own single samples), envelopes, filters, modulations, etc. as you wish, with all output running to 3 FX lanes where you can stack as many Snapins (including Snap Heap or Multipass) as you wish in parallel or serial mode. But Kilohearts is a closed ecosystem, compared to Voltage Modular, and Phase Plant is not a true modular rack synth. I have Voltage Modular, but Phase Plant is probably my favorite synth right now for diving under the hood quickly, and intuitively. Everything is right there, starting with a blank slate. For example, go from an init patch, to this:
  7. Correct. Apparently JRR has corrected their pricing "error". Although it's still 50% off the regular $149 price!
  8. Correct, but I assume many folks just use the many included presets in the V Collection, so this post was made to point out the Mellotron V is actually a sampler. One with the added benefit of being able to process your samples through their emulated Arturia "tape mechanism". The newer vintage Mellotron knockoffs are actually late to the game! Also TAPE MELLO_FI, included in the Arturia FX collection, is inspired by the Mellotron. "The sound of the Mellotron The Mellotron, introduced in 1963, was a keyboard that had a tape playback mechanism under every key. Tape MELLO-FI’s sound and behavior is inspired by Mellotron V, our software recreation of this legendary instrument."
  9. Legacy Cakewalk instruments are old, unmaintained code. Which in many cases will still work fine, until it doesn't! If the problem is due to a software incompatibility with Reason, then you would need to convince Reason support to implement a workaround fix. I ran into a similar issue using a Cakewalk instrument with Ableton Live some years ago, and Ableton support straight up told me they were not going to support any end-of-life plugins. It is what it is. If the old stuff still works, then great! Otherwise not so much... One other thing to consider is that you may not have all of the older Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables installed on your machine. That can sometimes cause errors with older software being run on newer Windows machines, independent of the DAW being used.
  10. @User 905133Glad that you got it sorted out! Enjoy your new toy, and at least try to get a little sleep tonight!!! 🤣
  11. That's strange, as I still had $37 sale total at check-out! The cart had already applied an automatic discount of $37 to the $74 subtotal, leaving a grand total of $37. I cancelled the transaction, as I already own Buchla V, but I was just curious. JRR is not a scammer!
  12. The Kilohearts Snapin "hosts" all use the same modular FX concept and software code under the hood. Phase Plant, Snap Heap, and Multipass are all modular in design, and can arrange the FX Snapins in virtually unlimited configurations. They are a key part of the sound design potential when used internally in the Phase Plant synth. Multipass is similar to Snap Heap, but takes things to another level. You can separate the incoming audio by frequency bands, and then apply the different FX lanes to different frequencies!
  13. I wouldn't recommend buying an individual Arturia instrument, except for Pigments that goes on sale occasionally for $99 or less. I bought the entire V Collection on sale for slightly more than an individual V Instrument at MSRP. That's the way to roll!!!
  14. And anyone with a recent Arturia V Collection already has the Mellotron V. • You have a great collection of the best original Mello tape sounds. • You can use your own samples as "tapes" if you want (looped or non-looped). This way you will have an ever growing assortment of sounds. The samples will play through the emulated "tape mechanism", which will give them a vintage sound that can't be achieved anywhere else
  15. I assume that you already had a Kilohearts account? The installer is only aware of what is already licensed to your account, or else you can try out the trials. I believe they gave away the Essentials + Snap Heap when they recently upgraded everybody to v2.0. They are charging $29 for Snap Heap now.
  16. And with a product named "Reaper", no less!!! 🤣
  17. I understand the confusion. "Crossgrades" are not product specific "upgrades", but you quality for any product that has "crossgrade" pricing available if you have made a retail purchase of any IK product valued at $99 or higher. So that just about covers everyone, LOL!!! 🤣
  18. The SSSR expansion is a completely separate offer from the MixBox deal. The SSSR expansion is being offered to existing MixBox owners for $9.99 ($6.99 with Jam Points). Not sure if MixBox CS qualifies for the $9.99 SSSR deal. Anyone?
  19. They just released a "point" update to MixBox v1.5.0. So not a completely new version. I wasn't aware that they had a crossgrade option for it. In that case if you don't already have MixBox full, I would grab that $49.99 crossgrade. Unless you are waiting for the next Total Studio Max. "MixBox packs over 70* award-winning mixing processors and creative effects derived from T-RackS, AmpliTube and SampleTank into a convenient 500-series style plug-in. Create, compare and save your own custom channel strips or multiFX chains, or choose from over 600* presets to give your creativity a kickstart." MixBox v1.5.0 changes:
  20. The deal being discussed is the Sunset Sound reverb collection expansion for MixBox. As far as I know MixBox itself is not on sale. But the v1.5.0 update for MixBox is real. And IK has probably gifted you a free MixBox CS license, for whatever that's worth to you...
  21. MixBox CS won't show up as a separate plugin if you already have MixBox full installed. You will just see that the license was added to your IK account. It may be of some interest to those without MixBox full. No harm done. For example, I have licenses for both MixBox CS & MixBox full, but only 1 copy of v1.5.0 files are installed: 'MixBox.exe', 'MixBox.dll', & 'MixBox.vst3'. Safe to ignore MixBox CS if you already have MixBox. The 1.5.0. upgrade was for both editions! So nothing lost, but a few improvements possibly gained!
  22. That's what I said about 6 hours ago.
