  1. Get your beer bottle groove on! :)

$2 (this may not be a new deal)

This library is the product of gathering 50+ empty bottles together and seeing what happens. The bottles varied in size and shape to bring you varying harmonics for a wide array of unique glass sounds. We did everything one can do to a bottle, including blips, dings, taps, bonks, ensemble bottles, blown staccato, blown sustains with MW, bottle generated ambiances and drones. The instruments are programmed in Native Instruments Kontakt for easy playback through a host sequencer. Instruments range from single articulations to master patches of similar sounds. Bottoms up!

I would use it if they had an option to deselect say 32 bit, AAX etc

I just manually delete those locations occasionally. Not a lot of space wasted, though it's only a minor annoyance for me when my OCD kicks in... 🤪

I agree that the vendor should always make all paths an option. At least XLN Audio finally added that to their online installer!

Unfortunately , the issue is not resolved by moving VST .. as I think everything is loaded into memory.

I've noticed that if I'm recording a Midi Track while the issue happens, the midi track is OR recorded at wrong bit (it's moved by a 1/16 ..1/8  forward compared to when I recorded it) or it's not recorded at all.
After looking at the ,manual, I tried increasing the Number of Buffers to 128.

As a starting point set your buffers to 256 or even higher, until it resolves the problem. As David said, anything below 128 takes a highly tuned system.

That is my experience also as I have two different versions of Painter, CorelDraw, etc.

But the listing specifically states DRM Free.  Thus why I'm looking for specific confirmation on this deal.

I see, and I wouldn't be able to confirm it either way, as my computers are already "infected" with DRM. You will obviously need a fresh "victim" to be your guinea pig!

That is a curious "Redeem on DRM-free, Other Platform" note on the product listing. Almost wonder if that is a typo? https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/204277138-How-to-Download-DRM-Free-Content

While it is a good value on the surface.  I bought 2019 and never used it before getting 2020 the following year.  No different than plugins, if you don't end up using it...also money wasted.

If it is software you plan to really use, crazy good value.

Well then, there's probably a whole lot of questionable  acquisitions on the "Deals" forum!

    GAS! 🤣

Cost of paying more than the average to get the middle bundle vs getting Painter 2022 seems completly negligable, and Painter is the most "valuable" program in the lot.

Speaking of value, the cost of buying Painter 2023 directly from Corel is $339 for full, or $179 for an upgrade. https://www.painterartist.com/en/product/painter/

So I would say that getting the full version of Painter 2022 for $31 is a steal!!! Even if it is not the latest, greatest version.

In most Humble Bundles that I have bought, many of the bundled items are of no interest to me, and I only install what I want. Still always an excellent value!

  7. I have been a user of CorelDraw for years. If you are into graphics and digital painting, then Painter is also a good deal. Never have really been a fan of PaintShop Pro. Adobe Photoshop Elements and Affinity Photo meet my needs well for photo editing.

I bought a Humble Bundle a while back that included Painter, Aftershot, VideoStudio, and CorelCad. I think I'm set OK for things as a graphics hobbyist!

In fact my dismay started when they piled on all those expansions cluttering up my NI account.
OTOH, anyone checked the new Kontakt Factory Library yet?

    Kontakt has a Factory Library?

I just thought Kontakt was for all of those "requires full Kontakt" libraries... 😂

Okay, and? The electric guitar is even much older, so do you think it is not worth anymore?

I think software gets accounted for in something more like in a "dog years" equivalent, than hardware does in actual years.

Some software ages well, some does not. The Surge XT project really shows what can happen if a retired soft synth is open-sourced by it's owner, and then picked up by a loving, dedicated team of developers!

  10. Thinking about this again, just realized that the original z3ta+  is now 20 years old! 😲

Almost as old as Absynth that was just retired by NI after 22 years.

If you are looking for an oldie subtractive-hybrid synth with some interesting waveshaping chops, take a look at the Surge XT synth. Based on the original Vember Audio Surge that sold for $180 back in 2007. https://www.musicradar.com/reviews/tech/vember-audio-surge-22113

Now an open-source project team is currently maintaining and updating this oldie as a free and open source synth. An FX plugin version is also included. For Win/Mac/Linux:  https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/

Surge is back, XTended and open source!

Thanks to the generosity of @Kurasu (owner of Vember Audio), Surge has been open sourced and lives on GitHub. This page you're reading right now. Yup! This one right here. It's a part of the surge-synthesizer GitHub project.

Not sure if this was posted previously, but wanted to see if someone could verify. I popped open the paid version of RiffStation and it asked me to register. I typed in info, and it doesn't seem the buttons are working (i.e., finally disconnected from the server?). The fix was simple, I downloaded the free version (twice) a while ago, so simply uninstalled the paid version and loaded the free version in its place. I seem to remember someone (@abacab?)  saying the link to the free version is still available, so this is more an FYI to those with the paid version if they didn't download the free version yet.

Correct! The paid version of RiffStation was discontinued, and was replaced by the no-longer-supported free version, v1.6.3. The free version still works, with no registration required. The original site for the free download is offline now, but a Google search for "RiffStation discontinued" will turn up alternative download sources such as the Wayback Machine, Filehorse, etc.

oh why, some issue with battleye?

Yep, I refuse to install extra services on my DAW. It's the only PC that I own with a fairly recent GPU. I only run Epic games on the DAW PC that don't include hidden "extras". GOG is much better behaved in that regard.

My dedicated gaming/media PC is 10 years and several generations older, still running Windows 7. I would let BattlEye roll there, but that system barely meets minimum spec. Great for older games from GOG.
