To be fair I don't use Adictive Drums often so it seems every time I go to use it there is an issue so I get the impression it's a common event. It is easy to fix, but it does not give me confidence.

Right. It's an issue exposed by Microsoft, but you would expect that by now the XLN devs would have adjusted their activation scheme to account for it. Who knows, maybe they have?

What is the difference between TRackS 5 and TRacks5 SE ?   Usually "SE" denotes a cut down version, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.  It just seems like different plug ins.

If you scroll down to the "includes " section for each product below, you can see the specific modules that you get with each version of TR5 SE and TR5:

    https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tr5se/

Includes Master Match, Dyna-Mu, EQual, One, and Full Metering, plus the 4 "classic" modules same as TR5.

Includes Tape Echo, Black 76, White 2A, Vintage Tube Compressor, De-Esser, and Classic Room Reverb, plus 4 "classic" modules same as SE.

I don't dislike it but I do wish they would fix the authorisation. I only installed, authorised and tested it on my new DAW yesterday and now today its "Wrong computer ID"

I decided to reboot the computer and low and behold the computer ID was correct.   It does not inspire confidence.

I've experienced that a few times in the past after a Windows 10 update had changed my computer ID. But not recently...

As long as we are constructively thread building now- I decided I want to spend one of my freebies on the Leslie to relive my youth a few decades back when we used to run my guitar through one for a few tunes.  I am comfortable with Amplitube, which I have been using for a while.  Is there a good reason to consider getting the T-Racks version instead?  From my research, it looks like Amplitube actually gives more routing options, but I would expect them to be the same?

Good question! But I own all 3 Leslie's from IK, so I'm covered! :)

    Hammond B-3X (integrated Leslie)

T-RackS Leslie (so I can run any instrument through a Leslie)

Amplitube Leslie (well, just because... Leslie)

  5. The definition of "abandonware" is anything by inMusic (AIR, SONiVOX, etc), No substantial updates in years, yet they keep selling stuff cheap.

I don't think that XLN Audio falls into that tier...

    Thanks so much.

This opened the door also for me to discover the Indiginus libraries for Kontakt (full version required), and they are really something, and all reasonably priced. Tracy the developer was kind enough to send me a few of them to try and I was very impressed. Be on the lookout for more info on these. I also would not be surprised to see more of his instruments show up as future SampleTank 4 instruments.

    Best,
    Simeon

Take a look at Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra (if you have not already). Don from Sonic Scores (Overture) collaborated with Tracy at Indigenus to develop an all-in-one library for Kontakt Player. It's probably the best $149 one can spend for a comprehensive composition tool. $99 for those that already have Overture 5, and that is plug and play ready with Amadeus.

  7. I have XLN AD2, Toontrack EZDrummer, & IK MODO Drum.

For XLN I have the ADPacks: Rock, Pop, Prog, Fairfax 1 & 2, Vintage Dry, United Heavy, Black Velvet, & Session Percussion.

For EZDrummer I have: Americana, Classic Rock, Reggae, & Rock Solid.

    For MODO Drum, well... 🤪

I cannot imagine that I need more, as all of these cover quite a range! And I really feel that AD2 is probably my favorite...

so buy the mic (no GB there) and pickup ARC 3 as one of your GB freebs...

I suppose you could use $20 leftover Jam Points towards that $69.99 mic...

But then IK does charge $12.99 for ground shipping...

Would the Behringer or Dayton measurement mics at Amazon ($72.25 or $68.35, respectively) possibly be a better buy with free Prime shipping?

    It's $152.99 with code EMCXEASE3 now!

That code won't work for me at Newegg.

It applies the code when entered, and shows the discounted price in the cart, then goes whoops when I actually try to purchase it. Then it reverts to $179.

And $179 is still $50 off the list price, and is what Amazon and B&H are currently showing as the sale price.

Well, I pulled the trigger and got Lurssen. Now I'm like a kid in the candy show with a seemingly unending dropdown of freebies.

GAS is lovely, right? Have fun!!!

And thanks for pushing us one step closer to 6 freebies!
