Yep, and the A-300 in the 32 key version is about the smallest controller with all the features and full sized keys. I cannot stand the "mini" key controllers!

First, completing the T-RackS and Amplitube collections are a solid choice, including the Sunset reverb, and the Lurssen Mastering console. And those tape machines and Sat-X! Then some SampleTank libraries such as Electromagnetik, and Cinekinetik, are some solid ones, followed by the Art Deco Piano and Clavitubes! Very nice! The Orchestral and Cinematic Percussion may be of some interest too... And without question, the Hammond B-3X, MODO Bass, and MODO Drum, if you are in a higher GB tier!

No idea, never used Nectar 3. But with a "Plus" it must add something, right? 😉 I'm sure there must be some info on the product page.

You guys really need to control yourselves, as challenging moderators can only go in one direction. This is not a demo cracy. We are guests here in our host's house, and it's always been this way. We must abide, like it or not. You don't like it, that's fine! You are entitled to feel that way. But your opinion will change nothing around here. If that's how you feel, please go elsewhere.

I am not a guitar player, but I slapped a few of these onto a track with Orange Tree Samples Evolution Rock Standard virtual guitar (a classic dual humbucker). Wow! Nice, very, very nice!

I realize that not all of you are Cakewalk users, and some are entirely here for the Deals forum only, which is cool! But were you aware that the last time they locked one of Larry's threads, the Deals forum was demoted to a sub-forum? That was probably the host's alternative to eliminating it entirely. If you all keep abusing the moderators, I would hate to see what happens next. I for one, like this forum and would prefer it to remain... at least for Larry's sake! Can you imagine how he would feel if the kids had ruined everything in his absence?

The A-300PRO (mine is branded Cakewalk by Roland) has a nice synth keyboard action. If you have the patience to set up the control surface plugin, as described in the links and documentation, it can act as a Cakewalk control surface as well using ACT. The only reason I don't use it much anymore is that I wanted more than 32 keys. So I now have 49 and 61 key controllers, as well as a 25 key that I pack for travel. And one quirk with Roland keyboard design is the all-in-one joystick for pitch/modulation. It is spring loaded, and always returns to zero. Sometimes I want a mod wheel that stays where I leave it when I take my hand off. But that is just a small niggle, for an otherwise well built keyboard, with plenty of knobs and faders.

Great shout out for Luftrum! I discovered Luftrum a few years back when I picked up iZotope's synth Iris 2 on sale. So then I started looking around for 3rd party libraries and stumbled across the Luftrum 10 soundbank for Iris. Further intrigued by this acquisition for Iris, I picked up his 1GB field recording sample library (Iris is a sample player engine with 4 sample slots and spectral filtering. etc.) for some roll your own fun. If you make a contribution to Luftrum, you will receive an unlimited license to use them anywhere, as well as a zip file of the sample collection. Since then, I have also acquired his soundbanks for u-he Repro and Arturia Pigments 3. And thanks to you for pointing out the latest sale, I now have Bioscape! This old video demo of his Luftrum 10 soundbank for Iris shows off Luftrum's special skills in sound design for atmospheres and soundscapes!

AmpliTube 5.pak is 1.4GB and AmpliTube.app.pak is 969MB installed. And then there is the .exe and other stuff...

That's just what always happens around here when the little boys and girls can't play nice. The moderators are generally invisible here, but just doing their job. Of course, you are free to be unhappy with the decision here, however the Cakewalk moderators have always had the final say. I've been to other forums where moderation if much more heavy handed, so by comparison off topic discussion is tolerated much more freely in this sub-forum. Just don't break the rules!

It has mostly always been customary for the Cakewalk mods to lock threads when the rules are broken. Even Larry had one of his threads locked a while back after it turned a few shades of poly tick al. And I have never seen a singe one unlocked afterwards. However all of the content remains available after the offending posts are removed. And while I believe that this forum is not actually auto-moderated, it's always possible for someone to click on the little "Report post" link in the upper right-hand corner of any post. So that would make it community moderated. And no, it wasn't me!

I do, and I posted my notes about 4 years ago regarding A-300PRO setup in that link to the old Cakewalk forum above. Please see my first reply to this thread. Just stating this here, in case you maybe overlooked that.

And one more data point for this latest AT 5 version, this time I tested its performance in Studio One 5.4 rather than CbB. It showed about the same increase as with Cakewalk, so performance does not appear to be DAW related. So probably best to use "Freeze" when multi-tracking guitars with AT 5 on each guitar track. Or get a computer like Bapu has! 🤣
