  2. You don't need to own any particular "underlying" product to select a crossgrade. ANY IK product that you own with a MSRP of $99 or higher makes you eligible for ANY IK crossgrade deal.
  3. You get 24 more each time you buy in, at the level you buy into.
  4. Lurssen is not part of T-RackS, but a separate mastering tool. So I do not see it in Custom Shop.
  5. Yep, that's why I think I will stick to the Korg Collection 3 for my digital synth emulation collection. It is very, very nice! I had a Korg X-2 workstation back in the 90's, so their ROMplers are a bit familiar. And I always wanted a Wavestation, but could never afford one! I guess if I want some retro Roland ROMpler sounds, I will have to drag my gear out of the closet. But I have been moving away from hardware for the last 10 years. Virtual instruments are so much easier to work with. Look Ma, no SysEx!
  6. Larry in da house! Welcome back, man!
  7. Yep, I looked into Roland Cloud, but passed on that. Have similar feelings about that RC like I do with Waves WUP, LOL! I would have liked the JV-1080 emulation, as I have the real hardware rack version of that one, as well as the earlier JV880, and the later XP-30 61-key synth, fully expanded. But even with an outright purchase, you still have to be connected to the net to remain "activated". SMH... 😢
  8. Sample library. You can sample ROMpler and associated waveforms, but that will not be an emulation.
  9. You can only use Gear Credits in Custom Shop. So use the 150 GC to purchase Amplitube. Then pick the 4 Elektromagnetic instruments as separate freebies from among the 24 freebies that you will qualify for.
  10. I think the problem with D-50 emulation is with distributing the samples that made up part of the instrument's sound. Only Roland has those samples. From the Roland Cloud description: I recall that this was also an issue with emulating a Yamaha SY77/SY99 synth that mixed sampling with FM, so that unauthorized emulations were limited to a stripped down FM only version. https://www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha/sy77.php
  11. I'm no longer using 32-bit, but retro digital is cool. 😎 Not sure if you were actually referring to the JX-8P as "digital", as it was a fully analog synth which was designed to compete with the new digital synths in the mid-80's, such as the Yamaha DX-7. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_JX-8P For retro digital, I have 2 versions of virtual emulations of Casio CZ (my first synth in the mid-80's), the UVI Digital Synsations (a sample library based on Roland, Korg, Ensonic, and Ysmaha digital synths)), and the Korg Collection 3 which has virtual emulations of the digital M1, Wavestation, and both the Triton and Triton Extreme. The Korg collection is my most recent acquisition and there is lot to explore in there. Still digging in, LOL! In addition to digital, it also has 5 very cool analog models. 😎
  12. I made a layer in Cakewalk with the PG-8X and Syntronik DCO-X. They sound great together! Especially with a little reverb tossed into the mix.
  13. I get the impression that Waves has a business model built around catering to audio professionals who make a living in the business. And they have never bothered to alter it for the home studio musicians and hobbyists, who may have different priorities around support, upgrades, etc. Although that is clearly who their recent marketing efforts are going after, what with all of the $29 sales, and the buy x, get x deals.
  14. So no Resonator for Fleer, or new MIDI keyboard for Ed. 😢
  15. I have made most of my Cherry purchases direct from them. But it never hurts to check for a deal!
  16. Now THAT looks like a deep rabbit hole to go down on a dark winter's night!
  17. If you study the signal path you will notice that everything is mono, up until the mixer. Then the output of the mixer is stereo (where it has stereo inputs from Room & Bus) . The looper appears to be a stereo device. So not sure it would make sense to place it up front?
  18. I haven't done a detailed comparison, but one catch with Syntronik is that you must start with a preset that has sampled oscillators baked into the preset, and you cannot change them. So if you want to build your own sound there isn't any "Init" to begin from. But you can choose a preset close to what you want and still have control over the modeled filters, envelopes, & LFO. You may also want to turn off the FX rack to get the dry sound, as many presets already have "performance" FX included. One of the strengths of Syntronik is that you can build multis, with splits and/or layers of up to 4 instruments/presets. That and the arpeggiator lend itself to a decent performance mode! Add the Taurus Bass to the low end and off you go (not my idea, I saw a Jordan Rudess demo...)! 😎
  19. I got in twice, at lower tiers, so the Sampletron is still out of reach for me. But I already had everything else at the $199 tier, so I didn't see the point of going there for the GB just for that. So the Sampletron and the Tascam tapes are the only IK things I lack ... That B3 is killer, and hopefully you will enjoy it! IK partnered with Hammond, so it's an officially endorsed emulation! I've got the Arturia B3 V, and I think that IK has that beat soundwise. I'm not a real B3 player, so can't comment on realism from the pilot seat, but it sounds real enough! You will probably have enough to keep you busy through the winter, LOL!
  20. Have no idea. Never used the looper. That forum is probably the best place to get the answer, if there is one. Else open a problem ticket.
  21. How about Hitmaker: One Button Hit!
  22. Here are some patch banks for PG-8X: https://www.kvraudio.com/product/pg-8x-by-ml-vst/downloads Th Kujashi Banks 1 & 2 that were converted into the new format will load directly into the synth via the "Load" button. >>> https://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=one&id=3015 Just unzip first.
