Yes it would, but pushing out something in CbB at that level would be a major development project. More likely that a Chord Track would be done in phases, if at all.

I would be happy to see them just start with a scale and chord assistant as a first step. They could add more to it later, especially if that stimulates requests for specific additional related features.

Sure, you can do a lot of this in a DAW with some effort. But here are a few of the reasons that I like Unify... A big # 1 is that Unify assigns each instrument to a separate CPU core/thread for performance optimization. Hides the interface for instruments that you don't care to look at. Here's looking at you Spitfire! Provides a preset browser via Unify patches for plugins that don't have modern browsing or search abilities. Also has a "favorites" tagging system. Ability to search across all owned plugin libraries for presets that have been "Unified". Can't do this with a DAW. Since Unify is also a plugin, you can use any Unify preset in any DAW. A Unify preset is portable, so setup once and use it on any computer with Unify (and the respective instrument plugins) installed, even if it is running a different DAW! Extensive macro knob control (4 banks x8) of plugin automation parameters on any layer. Great if you are playing the instrument in real-time. You can MIDI learn the macro knobs by CC to any controls on your controller. Keyboard splits and layers are a breeze to setup. The ability to quickly find and stack sounds from different synths together. Happy accidents! Lots of MIDI FX to work with on MIDI layers. I currently have 21,577 Unify patches to work with...

That's a big benefit! Trigger multiple instances of a mono synth inside one Unify patch with the midibox plugin, and the voices get spread among them so that you have polyphony!

That appears to be a rare 40% off storewide sale for St Patrick's weekend. They usually exclude Unify from the sales.

Even if a DAW was updating to the newer plug-in version used, it seems that locating the correct original preset and or sound settings might be a huge challenge. I would think that part would still be up to the user, or the plug-in manufacturer.

Probably not, as I don't believe Spectralayers is included in the non-suite edition...

I think staff view is not likely to get much attention. That would have been covered a long time ago if they were ever going there. Chord tracks might get some attention, but the response for feedback was rather inconsistent when Noel asked for suggestions regarding that a while back, so I dunno... We'll just have to wait and see.

It's definitely NOT going to be a macOS cross-platform port. That was tried once already way back when Cakewalk products had paying customers, and it failed. Cakewalk is too deeply embedded in the Windows ecosystem to go that other direction without a total re-write.

You get everything stated. Read the descriptions carefully, as there are sometimes trial subscriptions included in the bundle. I have been buying from them for several years, no regrets!!!

Personally I like the Cherry Audio products and company. I don't quite get the criticism, and have come to the conclusion that it is a vocal minority of self proclaimed experts that like to compare hardware and software emulations with oscilloscopes, and or on older computers that are not fully up to modern specs. But for everyone else, they are a bargain for high quality emulations that sound good. I think that they are improving with each synth they create. If you noticed the slick GUI design for their latest creation, Mercury 6, it was rendered by a new artist that is collaborating with Cherry Audio. They implied on a recent livestream that you will be seeing more of that going forward!

Year Three Collection is $32.71 for me at Cherry Audio, as I already own everything in it except for VM900. Valued customer!

Yup, that one will keep you entertained for sure! Feed it ordinary sounds, or even a basic drum pattern, and see a result that sounds nothing like the original sound!
