    EZkeys2 !!!!!

Scaler is good, and there is probably some overlap. Are you familiar with EZdrummer3? EZkeys 2 will add many of the new features that were added to that. Bandmate is probably the most significant, followed by a new Grid Editor window. https://www.soundonsound.com/news/upcoming-toontrack-release-ezkeys-2 A new Bandmate feature derived from EZDrummer 3 allows the instrument to generate piano parts based on user-imported audio or MIDI material. Dragging and dropping a file into the interface when using the feature will result in EZkeys creating a selection of suggested parts, which can be auditioned and exported directly from within the plug-in. A Suggest Chords feature has been added, and will recommend chord progressions based on player input or MIDI files, and the company have also introduced their popular Tap2Find function, which will recommend parts based on a rhythm or notes played with a MIDI controller, or tapped in with the mouse using a button within the GUI. A new Grid Editor window provides a piano roll-style view, enabling users to create and edit their piano parts directly within the plug-in itself if required, rather than switching back and forth to their DAW’s instrument or MIDI track. The editor also integrates with a number of other functions in the plug-in: browsing and auditioning scales from within the Songwriting Scales window will cause all of the relevant notes in the Grid Editor to be highlighted, for example. An all-new MIDI library adds more than 800 MIDI parts to the original instrument’s collection, with the total count standing at over 1350 files. All of the parts have been played by a professional pianist, and cover a wide range of styles and genres, and are categorised by genre, time signature and song part for easy searching.
  2. https://kilohearts.com/blog/introducing-granular Introducing Phase Plant's new Granular Generator We are extremely excited to bring you one of the most requested feature updates to Phase Plant. Say "hello" to your new Granular Generator and prepare to have your mind blown into tiny little pieces! As part of this update, we’ve added a new Sample Editor tool. You will find this by clicking the pencil icon in the Granular Generator, Sampler Generator, or Convolver.
  3. If you are referring to Chromaphone 3, then using both the "Layer A" and the "Layer B"in a patch essentially doubles the CPU load right away. The older versions only had a single layer. A + B is like running 2 synth engines in parallel. Using all the bells and whistles, it's quite possible to create a patch that overwhelms your CPU. Turn off a layer, take a look at unison voices, as well as polyphony, where you might be able to dial a patch back a bit. I realize that is just a basic workaround, but a math intensive physical modeling synth like this is going to require some extra CPU horsepower... comes with the territory, I suppose.
  4. I have several Luftrum soundbanks, including Luftrum 23 for Pigments. That's nice one, hardly a dud in the bunch! It shows up in the cart as $14.50 with the code, so that is correct. Other Luftrum soundbanks that I have are: Bioscape for Kontakt, Luftrum 19 for u-he Repro 5, Luftrum22 for bx_oberhausen, & Luftrum 10 for iZotope Iris. I like them all and my thought is you cannot go wrong with them if you can find a soundbank for a synth that you have.
  5. New synth from Luftrum... SynthGPT:

    EZkeys2 !!!!!

    Install pending... 😜
  9. It took a bit of searching around to find the S1 Plug-In Manager. I've no idea why PreSonus tucked that away under the "View" menu, rather than "Studio One > Options".
  10. Agree that's a big disappointment! My Waves plug-ins are 50/50 v12 and v14. They would probably wish for me to WUP the v12 so I can have all the installers in Waves Central! Ha! Nope!
  11. Downloads for Waves older versions are here (offline installers): https://www.waves.com/downloads?utm_source=Waves-Central&utm_medium=referral#older
  12. Yes, definitely a Studio One thing. The updated Waves Central installs a new v14 Wave Shell. Plugins for v12 were fine, but I had to force Studio One to re-scan plug-ins to pick up the new v14 Waves Shell. Apparently S1 fails to auto-detect the new point release for "14.12". Select "Update Plug-in List" in Studio One (forces a re-scan at DAW start-up). Found in S1 Menu > View > Plug-In Manager.

    EZkeys2 !!!!!

    Yay! Finally!
  14. No problem with the update here. But I only use v12 and v14 plugins. No legacy stuff.
  15. And when you are ready to step up, there is this: https://soundiron.com/products/flatulus Kontakt FULL required.
  16. Your current and past release downloads can all be found at this page. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/my-products/ Just click on the "Past Releases" button under a product to get to the downloads for it. No need to back them up unless you just want to have a copy for convenience.
  17. The IK downloads folder is in the path defined in IK Product Manager > Preferences > Downloads Folder. In my case, it goes to a "IK Product Manager" folder in My Documents. But you can set the folder up to be anywhere.
  18. You don't need to backup the plugins, such as Amplitube or T-RackS. The IK downloads for those never expire. Only the IK sound content/samples downloads for the instruments expire after 180 days. I just thought it was a relevant point to make, considering that this is an Amplitube thread, and as such this product is not affected by expiration policies. Unless you just want assurance against IKM going out of business, or having a full subscription meltdown, etc.
  19. It's safe to delete the IKM download folder. It gets recreated anytime IKM Product Manager downloads anything.
  20. Microsoft Defender has also been flagging stuff other than NI. Seems that certain archive files (.zip) can set it off in an apparently hit or miss fashion..
  21. The easiest way that I have found to remove old shells is uninstall them via Waves Central > Settings > Maintenance > Uninstall [select].
