  1. That's why I love this forum, you can learn so much here!! : )
  2. On the fourth song now, and you got me!! It just gets better and better!! So far the album line up is spot on buddy!! Like I said, you got me! I am impressed. And I am talking about the song quality, not the mixing or playing. Great hooks, each song stands on it's own and shows it's own style. First song gave me a feel of a Ska band, I kept waiting to hear some horns come in!! But they never did, and the song never suffered!! Title trk was excellent. Really like the falsetto that you put in there. Vocals on that are just really good and raw!! And the guitar solo is on the money!! Very pop and I love it! Love the end!! Next two songs just reinforced what I had already heard. Just excellent song writing. Sometimes Going Back great hook in that chorus!! Guess I wrote enough. If you can't tell, I like it!
  3. I went to listen and got the ol 404. For me, I had been busy and didn't have the time to devote to giving a proper listening to any songs. It happens. But I do make my rounds and go back through the list to see what I missed. Sorry I missed this one. I was a James Gang fan myself.
  4. Agreed. Loved the video. Love space tech. While I was listening and watching I was thinking that it could be the music on one of the shows on the Science Channel. And then Jesse says take it to the local planetarium and I agree!! @cclarryWhen I learned about a 'vacuum' it was taught as 'nothing' in space. Which they now know is incorrect. There is a vacuum in space, but there is also a lot of other things out there along with the vacuum.
  5. That's my wife. And we just got her a G3 last year after playing on uprights at home her whole life.

I was afraid you were going to tell me it was in-the-box vocals!! Man, that went really well with that song. I mean like made for it!! Wow, great work and really good find on that. I may look for her myself and see if she's available!! : )
  7. So that great sounding sax was originally an mp3? Wow! How much more of that was mp3? If you wouldn't have said it, I wouldn't have noticed. That makes that recording even more impressive!!
  8. Yes David, I really like this. And I am not even looking for the 'cheat'!! I enjoy this too much. But what I really like and appreciate about it David, is you didn't comp the heck out of it. What I am listening to sounds like I'm right there in the room with you. Really good work.

Just took another listen and this one sounds cleaner. I really can't remember the details but the first thing that hit me was this version was more up front and in your face. On a side note: Who did the the vocal bkgrd (kinda gospel feel) at the end of the song? That was really nice.
  10. Love it!! Great feel, smooth flow, tight, very entertaining. That was an enjoyable listen. Dial up!!? Man that must have taken for-eva!!
  11. I like this one. I like the guitar sound. Vocals are not ordinary at all. But they sound damn good!! I gotta give it to you man! You can come up with some weird stuff that grabs my attention and don't let go!! (case in point: Just heard this high pitched squealing and then Suck Your Brains comes on! Listen to that twice!) Like Bjorn says the drums are good. But I really like that guitar tone!! Lead off song on your next album.
  12. @freddy j @Lynn Freddie and Lynn, sorry it took so long to get back to you. Thanks for the listen. And I really appreciate the kinds words about the song. @Freddie, it was fun to do! And your right it doesn't happen enough. In fact, the reason I didn't get back with ya'll sooner I was trying to get a recording right!! I'd do it, then did it about eight more times over a few days!! Anyway, I tried to have fun with that!! @Lynn, Thanks for the kind words. I thought the same thing when I was listening to your stuff. Really respect your playing man.
  13. But are you using something in the master buss fx bin? By your last response to Jon, I am assuming the answer to the above question is yes. The way you worded the first post made me think that you were hearing this with just a signal going through the master buss. Case in point, the old Boost 11 was a good limiter, as long as you didn't drive it too hard. And on the other end of that spectrum, IK Stealth Limiter is really clean, even when you drive it really hard. But even it has it's limits, and will distort really bad when it does go beyond it's limits. So if your driving your limiter/comp hard, then your ears aren't deceiving you. If you got nothing in your fx bin, or PC, on your mastering buss, then you may have another problem.
  14. Yes it really is. I have a lot of the same type of Waves plugins (Pultec, 670 comp, ect) and I always reach for the T-Racks stuff. I just like the way they sound. The EQ PB, PA, 73, & 81 are really my fave EQ's.
  15. Here is a public service for those that may have forgotten what that means!! Dilettnate: a person who cultivates an area of interest, such as the arts, without real commitment or knowledge. And how many of us around here falls into that category!? : )

    CbB Updated again

Yes they sure are! Never seen this many fixes in a release in a very long time. Last time I think this many fixes was included in a release was when they did yearly updates!! : ) They must be working their *****es off!!
  17. Blades, I use comping all the time. Great feature. But I do know that you and others have expressed a desire for a more 'Layer' workflow. To be honest, it's been so long since I messed with Layers I really have no idea what it use to be like. That said, there were times that I wished I could work on clips in Take Lanes the way I could on a regular trk. And from what I can tell, that's exactly what I can do now, work on clips in take lanes just like it's a regular trk! It's really the best of both worlds in my opinion. : ) What I do is record all my takes that I want. Then after I can comp straight away, or go to the new Smart Tool Options and turn off the Comp Tool and work them takes just like they were on a regular trk. Split, copy, paste, stretch, group, drag copy, drag multiple clips, drag copy multiple clips, drag copy multiple clips to new project, and on and on! I love it! This is the best I have seen this. Ever since this came out I have been working with it and am really satisfied with the results. This is a keeper for sure. I hope this has given you some guidance. If you need more info I will try to help as best I can.
  18. @rsinger I am very happy with the Leslie for Amplitube. Really great sounding. If you have the Fulltone OCD pedal, try it in front of the Leslie amp with the drive turned down in the OCD.
  19. Yes they do!! Whoa!! So I already had Fender collection, but I got it anyway and that got me 3 freebies for $99! Come on people, lets get this group buy up to the max!! I did my part!! : ) LOL! Forgot to add thank you Larry again for making me spend more of my money!! And thanks to Uncle E for the great deal that Larry found!!
  20. @rsinger Did you register this yet? And did you get three free of lesser/equal value of $149?
