Okay, but let's not get carried away. I've always said if people read manuals, I'd be out of a job
Craig once a writer always a writer. You couldn't stop writing articles if you tried 😀

Yes I am. I saw an opening and went with it. I really do hope Staff view gets some attention or outside help (Overture implementation). I can dream

So,did the lights get turned off??????

I know the Tracktion DAW folks have been heavily involved with it. Don't know if Waveform 10 coming out shortly will have anything with MIDI 2.0

my Rowlf had to come over from the old Forum. He would of been lonely. Rowlf is a very social muppet don't you know

Scook, I noticed you don't have a forum avatar selected yet. Allow me to make a suggestion:

jk - thanks for all the help over the years! You're one of the reasons I made this post.
LOL Don't do it because your next avatar will be the one banging his head against the computer monitor.

I use 24/44.1 too. Nothing to exciting here mainly small orchestra/ensemble backing tracks for music ministry.
Don't see the need for 24/96. -
Scook, I was just ribbing you a bit. I appreciate your time and I do agree about RTFM.
In my own defense though I couldn't for the life of me remember how to do something and I didn't know what to call it in Corel Draw. Someone like you guided me in the right direction. It was a part of the program I very rarely use. I always appreciate folks like yourself who take the time to help others. What I don't like is when folks get nasty on forums. You handle yourself IMO extremely well. Hope you stick around for a long time- 1

Plus this Forum has only been live 29 days. We have to realize that CbB is a very deep DAW and not a starter DAW.
I sure they will cross market each other in the future. -
scook, I think you have the online manual open on another tab in your browser how quickly you link to it.
Maybe you should have the online documentation link in your signature🤣

thanks Pete for letting us know.

Noel go get some rest for the big NAMM show next week

I had an Alesis QS series keyboard that sometimes would hang Cakewalk and I had to make sure I turned it off before Cakewalk.

Let us enjoy the ride and hopefully it is a long winding road by the coast with a greatview. Hope the vehicle doesn't fall off a cliff.......................
Maybe the vehicle is actually the long awaited hovercraft LOLAnyway I think CbB is in good hands and I will exixt this discussion.

You can give them funding via the tip jar

I paid for Lifetime Updates for the Program when it was with Gibson, also very thankful they have invested in development and the fact they made it free is just amazing.
Yep the Tip jar right now.
I think NAMM next week is when we get to see Bandlab's vision and hopefully announcement of a storefront. -
I think scook it is the future that scares people. Right now everything as far as I know does activate.
-
True scook. I guess I won't worry about it myself the activation process. Most companies are going to some sort of online activation process. So we all have to hope the companies stick around
-
Glad that CbB has added the Ripple Edit indicator
-
So if Cakewalk by Bandlab stops producing for some reason or another the program might cease to work. Not trying to start trouble but that is a mighty turn off to learn the software to find out it might not activate in the future

The only real issue, and it is an issue, that I have with Windows 10 is that each major anniversary update breaks the licensing on a number of components on my DAW. Waves plugins and Addictive Drums being the first two to come to mind. The latest update, 1809 also broke my audio interface driver installation, requiring a full driver re-install.
With previous versions of Windows, you knew that if you upgraded, you were in for changes that you could prepare for in advance. However, with Windows 10, major changes that used to be saved for version upgrades can be installed at any time, effectively breaking your DAW. The October update just used up the last license renewal for Addictive Drums and I now need to raise a support call to get it working again.
This was not a problem in previous versions of Windows and is quite a significant down-side to being on Windows 10.
This I can relate to. Last update screwed my network printer and I had to and reinstall drivers. Of course I find out from family while I'm at work and they desperately need to print something for school 😕

I think we will see some of this demonstrated at NAMM 2019. I really see this being useful in an educational setting with each student(s) responsible for sections/parts of a song or band arrangement.
