  1. Here is what I have so far. It's selecting the correct patch numbers now but not switching banks. The controller section is garbage copied from the DSI Tetra. Any suggestions on where I'm going wrong? Gary Prophet Rev2.ins
  2. I've been in contact with Sequential and they told me the Ban k Select method is #2, Controller 32. This gets me a little closer to a working INS file. I've also been informed that the previous owner of the board overwrote the factory banks so I'll have to address that issue as well. Gary
  3. Take a look at that file you pointed me at. It's a blank skeleton with no bank select method or bank numbers or patch names. I've already looked at it and it's pretty much useless. Gary
  4. I need help, badly with this one. I've been trying to write an INS file for the Prophet Rev 2 but am at a loss to determine the bank select method and bank select numbers for it. My experiments so far have led to howls of rage and feedback galore to the point where I may blow out my monitors. The only DSI instrument I can find is an archived INS file for the 30 year old Tetra and using it as a model I get totally unpredictable results, I'm at my wit's end. If anyone out there has a working INS file for the Sequential Circuits Prophet Rev 2, PLEASE upload it. Even a working INS for a different recent prophet would be a help. Thanks for listening. Gary
  5. Slightly off topic I know but does anyone have a working INS file for the Prophet Rev 2? I am killing myself trying to calculate the Bank Select Values and Bank Select method for this thing and searching the web is coming up with bupkiss. I can't even find a similar file for any Dave Smith instrument newer than 20 years old and my experiments are resulting in some pretty wild results. Somebody help me please. Gary ;)

  7. Hi Greg. You just made my day. Stories like yours are why the community is so important to us all. I'm happy to have been of service. Keep making beautiful music. Gary :)
  8. Word of warning. There's one minor typo in in the Instrument section in the header of Bank D It reads [Hyrda-Bank-D] when it should read [Hydra-Bank-D] Here's a corrected version. Otherwise it seems to work well enough. Gary hydrasynth-ins.zip
  9. Just in case anyone out there just got one of these beasties and needs an INS file for it here's one I've created that seems to work well. Releasing it to the community and if anyone has any bug fixes or improvements to add please post them here as well. Cakewalk R00LZ!!!!! Gary hydrasynth-ins.zip
  10. You're very welcome. :) It was my pleasure to share with the community. :) I've done about a half dozen of these over the past two decades and I've always appreciated when others shared their work and advice to save me the trouble. I consider it to be one of Cakewalk's strongest features that the format of the INS file remained constant through every generation. This has been one of the main reasons I've remained loyal to the platform since last century. :) Gary ;)
  11. Someone got me started on this today and did most the of the heavy lifting so I completed the file today by cleaning out the illegal characters and adding Juno Di drum kits to the file. Here is what seems to be a good, working INS file for the Roland Juno DS complete with patches and drum kits. Thanks to those who worked on this before me and please post any improvements you might make in this thread. Gary ;) Roland-Juno-DS-200-ins.zip
