  1. What I observed in the use of Melodyne: When I first created a region, that is, select a track and then created a region, I was able, with ease, to move the notes with the stretch tool. However, I rendered that region, but then wanted to do some more editing and selected the track, again, and created a region of the whole track for a second time. In this second create region, scenario, the stretch did not work as it did with the first create region. Now, if I did something different, on long the way, I am not aware of it. Still, the second time through, instead of the notes moving independently, of one another and freely, they would move in snaps of a certain degrees and would stretch in a way that was unusable. Well here I am, again, commenting on the stretching tool: I don't know what I did this night to make it work, and it worked just as you would hope it to work. Then, out of the blue, it started doing that thing -- where instead of moving the notes nicely and smoothly and be able to stretch them in a very usable, and very wonderful, way -- to moving in chunks or snap like half note movement, which are not usable.
  2. Hi, This topic talks about the use of Melodyne and the stretch tool. Used this tool for the first time and it seems to me to be working just perfectly....
  3. Morten Saether, this topic talks about the use of Melodyne elastique time stretching and I have not quite got to that yet? However, I have a question for you: why does Melodyne look so different as a standalone editor, then when it is in use is Cakewalk/Bandlab? I recently purchased or upgraded to the editor addition, and, when, I look at the use of the tempo and the "assign" part of Melodyne there is a lot of difference. In the standalone there is access to a menu bar that has the tempo listed and the auto stretch tool, but I am not seeing any of these things, when I use it as a plugin. Thanks, Kevin,
  4. If you're in midi drums of some sort go to the note insert tool, click and hold the pen down until a drop list shows, the paint tool is there....
  5. Please, I have searched for the reason, but have not yet found why, or how: sometimes, when I Paint Patterns they will paint continuously, for as long as I drag the mouse to the upper right of the piano view window; still, other times, they will only paint the amount of measures that are high lighted: if I have one measure highlighted/selected, the pattern painter will paint one measure and then stop, and then I can paint another measure and then it stops painting. The same thing is true, if I have 8 or 16 measures selected -- it will paint 8 or 16 measures and then stop, the number of selected measures is irrelevant, it only paints the amount of measures that I have selected. Yet, as I said in the first sentence, sometimes, I can have 1 or 2 or 4 or 10 measures selected, but it will keep painting, until I quit dragging the mouse to the right. I have watch closely to see what I am doing, but so far I haven't noticed anything that I am doing, different, to make the pattern painter sometimes paint continuously and other to only paint the amount of measures selected.... Thanks, It will be interesting to find out what is and what isn't....
