  1. Bump, and Full Bucket has released a new synth, WhispAir. Really nice with wavetable support. https://www.fullbucket.de/music/whispair.html
  2. Freeware synth Surge is updated, many new features: https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/
  3. New version of the free Sitala drum VST released: https://decomposer.de/sitala/
  4. Free version is same as full version, only less presets & wt's. And it loads serum & other wt's. If still not to taste, just uninstall it. But it's currently updated daily, so you may want to wait a few days to get the quirks out.
  5. Vital is released, including a free version (full version, but limited presets & wt's). https://vital.audio/ Rather hyped on KVR, but I have no idea yet if any good. edit: States Win 10, but works fine on Win7 as far as I tested.
  6. Regarding Prochannel presets: My local login does not have admin rights. When I install latest version, still no presets. Tested twice. After roll-back, I add admin rights to my account, and install latest version, now presets are there.
  7. A long list of free VST instruments: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=475829
  8. This thread needs a bump. For those of us still using Soundfonts, .sf2 files, there are some nice free 64bit alternatives: BassMidi Vsti, https://www.kvraudio.com/product/bassmidi-vsti-by-falcosoft A multitimbral sf2 player, simple to use Juicysfplugin, https://github.com/Birch-san/juicysfplugin Not multitimbral .sf2 player, also simple to use TX16Wx, https://www.tx16wx.com reads .sf2 and many more formats. Rather complex to work with Plogue Sforzando, https://www.plogue.com/products/sforzando.html convert .sf2 to .sfz Sobanth, https://www.kvraudio.com/product/sobanth-by-benjamin-rosseaux Had some crashes with this, but maybe just me
  9. A good source for free synths is KVR OSC contest page. Long list of synths and the KVR forum thread have lot's of info for each. https://sites.google.com/site/kvrosc/
  10. There is a UI zoom work-around for surge in Cakewalk. Use any working zoom host (s.a. Savihost), zoom surge to what you like. Save as default zoom. Now, when you open surge in cakewalk, it's zoomed correct to that zoom.
  11. Yeah, no GUI have kept me away. Good idea using FX chains, they have a few I want to test, De-ess one of them. Btw I think they are all 64-bit now.
  12. Yes, good list! I don't see GVST in the list: https://www.gvst.co.uk/ Soundhack http://www.soundhack.com/ have some special ones I don't use AirWindows, but they have plugs for everything : http://www.airwindows.com/
  13. I use Sitala, free and simple to use.
  14. I use Scook' s "VST Inventory Tool" to locate my VST's. I know he have linked to it here, but can't find it atm.
  15. I'm sure you use SPAN. Using Ctrl + Mouse you can sweep and listen to freq's. Use wheel to change Q while sweeping.
