Maybe I could swap my MODO Drums for it?

The spinning thing at the end of the vid does look Vish, and could be taken as a partial Guitar pick shape.

With those 2 links above I get exactly the same thing.

I hope it is Amp5, they have been trying to push out as many Amp4's as they could in the last few months.

    V as in a roman 5, so amplitube 5

This Ting  is also cool.  My kind of ting.

And ting = stuff in Swedish 🙂

Love that ting one too, so simple to add some rhythmic spice and interest

  3. Klevgränd Skaka shaker instrument with 50% intro ($24.99)

Skaka is a sample-based sequencer plugin for shaker percussion instruments. It has 12 slots, each with its own instrument, parameters (lots of them!) and pattern. We've built both the sequencer and the sampler from the ground, to optimize this instrument for these types of sounds. Each pattern contains events, with individual parameters like pitch, velocity (as in how fast the instrument is shaken), and envelope.

With full control over shuffle/swing amount, an advanced humanizer function, internal awareness of in- and out shakes (yes, they sound different), using grids divided into triplets/quintuplets/septuplets, timing fine-tuning and variable sequence lengths, Skaka can get very close to how a human percussionist would sound in almost any tempo without any use of degrading time stretching or similar techniques.

  4. from KVR:

Someone was able to modify our main web page and insert a small piece of code that redirected the users to the other site. They accessed the web page through Magento Connect, which is the extension downloader for Magento (our eCommerce platform), and did not have access to our server or database. Our checkout page was not modified at all and there is no evidence that they gained access to anyone's personal information, and the vulnerability that allowed them to gain that access has been closed. In addition, I had disabled our servers as soon as I found out about the issue, after which point there was no data available for them to access.

My first impression was its going to have to be good to go up against NI's Monark, Arturia's Mini V and GForce MiniMonster, all of which I have already.

But what is very interesting here is the fact the modules can be used in Softube's Modular which adds a lot of scope.

A lot of reviews already and most seem to say that it’s better for whatever it’s worth. It can also be used in amp room and modular.   I won’t by it even if it’s better but would be happy to use it’s it’s included in their next volume bundle.

Imo it's better to buy  Unfiltered Audio's TRIAD on the next sale for the same price, which is also multiband and includes all effects   😎

I have both but they are actually quite different and  I often prefer multipass. Multipass and it’s snap-in modules has a neater/cleaner one-screen UI and is generally much easier/faster to work with. Some of the snapins doesn’t have an equivalent in triad and they can be used stand alone as well. The snapins have a very different sound compared to the byome modules.

I have most of the UA-plugins and triad is indeed a powerful sound design tool which I also use, but it sounds completely different.

Multipass does however require investment in  snapins, and although I bought most snapins for like $10 each (with vouchers) it’s still going to be more expensive than getting triad on sale. It’s definitely worth having if one have already bought into their eco-system though.

Twenty eight Kilohearts licenses, but have never had a $30 monthly voucher come my way. There's a $100 voucher as a subscriber reward for every 12 months subscribed (I'm not a subscriber). But I'm unable to find any info about a monthly voucher.

I am receiving a 30$ loyalty voucher every month and have since my first purchase. I’ve bought most of my snap-Ins  for like $10 each. Perhaps you should reach out their support?

I should have said "not worth the money for me". It sounds interesting, but to get the most out of it I'd have to buy a lot of Kilohearts plugins (I currently own none).

If it supported 3rd party plugins I would buy it instantly.

The main point of the multipass host is the modulation and it’s probably difficult to integrate third party plugins with that, unless they were snap-in compatible.

  9. Please note that they send out a 30$ voucher each month and often have sales on snapins so Imgot most of the collection for a small fraction of the list price. Multipass is awesome even with a few of the optional snapins, and things like reverb, chorus, distortion etc are very cool to use on only parts of the spectrum.

    Interesting...

For those that do not already own all of the IK effects, this offers 70 processors for $149 (crossgrade), while something like T-Racks 5 Max only has 38 processors for $299 (crossgrade).

I have over $50 in JamPoints in my account, of which I can only apply towards 30% of a purchase, so for me $44. that brings it down to $106.

For those that already own some gear, there is this extra $50 bonus coupon:

Where do I find the coupon? Have sampletank max, tracks max and amplitube and I assume this would qualify (?).

*edit* It’s added automatically at check out. Appears you can’t use jampoints and the coupon, as always,

  11. I’ve had this one for years, but decided to give it a go yesterday. It sounds great and is capable of very complex effects. The only problem is the interface and it takes a lot of time and manual reading to understand all quirks. Badly in need of a GUI makeover imho.

As we've mentioned other drum software, does anyone find that the ride in SD3 (that by default is only captured by the overhead mic) is very quiet? I know you can modify the mics and assign a dedicated ride mic, but it seems a little strange to me to have this as a default setup. Disclaimer: I've never mic'ed up a real drumset so if this is how you might typically do the mics, I'm happy to stand corrected.

I think you can change the volume of the ride independently from the kit view, but there’s no dedicated mic for it.

I've never really taken to IRON. I usually end up muting whatever I have put in with it. Maybe it's just me, but I've always struggled to make it sit well in a mix.

Most of their guitars sounds slightly robotic unfortunately , and it’s a shame there’s no amp-bypass option for use with 3rd party amp sims. The acoustic guitars are better though, but not as good as NI session guitarist.

Thanks for the wishes for feeling better.

I did a clean install, setting it up in the Media Creation Tool to load the USB drive as such, HOWEVER, because the Microsoft Live ID had a digital license for Windows 10 Home associated with it, when I was doing the setup process on the new computer build, with the brand new M.2 drive, it never asked me for a product key, and at the end of the setup, it had loaded it with Windows 10 Home, because of the digital license, and after that, it will not recognize the newly purchased Windows 10 Pro license I bought.

Potential good news 0 I found a Microsoft Answers post, where they gave some steps to correct the issue, and allow for upgrading to Windows 10 Pro to fix the above situation.  Those steps listed were

    image.thumb.png.54d9bab5cbe7bcbd3d9e994998ea118a.png

The above steps worked for another responder, in that thread, so perhaps those would work.  I will try them later on, after I get back.  It seems that is some generic key, so it could be used by anyone in the situation I found myself in.  I could just leave it as an activated Windows 10 Home, but I am both stubborn, and an idiot, so I want to make SURE these purchased licenses DO work, since I started this whole thread, and may have talked a bunch of folks into purchasing these licenses.  :)

    Full list of keys here

there are different generic keys per version and license types

I agree that JRR could run a much tighter ship and invest on a robust e-commerce solution, particularly since this is not the first time their site disappears.

On the other hand, what is the risk for us, the users? That they steal our JRR credentials?

    I'm asking an honest question.

The other risk, which seems less likely, is that the site is hijacked and PayPal payments are redirected to a third party. I don't know how likely that scenario is and whether PayPal would reimburse us in that scenario. If that's a concern, one could PM Uncle E directly to request a PayPal invoice. One double checks that it's coming from JRR and if the transaction is not honored, I'm pretty sure PayPal would reimburse us in that case.

I'm not trying to shill for JRR and it's a personal decision to transact with them or not, but I think the e-commerce world has evolved through trial and error so that the risk for the consumer is lowered. The end goal of our capitalist overlords is to keep the engine greased and going and ***** they've been doing their part.

EDIT: LOL, a very mild word was censured. You know what? **** that *** you **** ****. LOL!!!

Or you could just turn on 2-factor with pay-pal. The scenario is anyway unlikely if not impossible as each transaction has to be authorized and Jeff doesn’t have your PayPal credentials. I’ve been in It-security for 25 years actually and have been a cso for several banks so for one I may actually now what I’m talking about 🙂

worst thing that could happen is that any potential hackers would be able to access your other accounts if you shared your password, and possibly use your license keys in a fraudulent manner (like trying to sell them etc).  Never heard of anything like the latter though, they usually go for credit card data.

Guyz , do we lose old single licences or not ?

I did not when I first jumped at vol3, just the one I upgraded from (Tsar in my case). All singles still here after upgrading to vol4.

For those in Europe etc the price is €39 + VAT ( sales tax )

Thats what bugs me about VSTBUZZ, the Vat doesnt turn up until you go to checkout on any of there deals. They should say this at the product page in my opinion

Just charge the country and the vat goes away...

  18. One problem is that the phrases are only available in minor scales.

The loops are only recorded in 2 keys  but can be re-pitched manually. The interface is lot the best imho and a lot of folder browsing folders is required to access the individual loops for editing etc.

Good performances  but all together it doesn’t get much use here due to the above issues.

Yes, I love Darkglass myself. And Overloud's Mark II Studio. 😁
Honest, you're a pro mixer, right? I guess you know better (but me as making my own stuff for myself only, working with anything PA is not fun at all, to say the least, sound wise that is. To me all some PA amps, guitar or bass, sound tinny and harsh and bright, even if you try to darken the sound). I like some guitar PA amps but not all.
Still I gravitate to IK, Nembrini or what the heck: Guitar Rig 5 (I have Komplete 12 Ultimate). I have always loved Guitar Rig, it has some good sounds in there (in the Petrucci forum there was this guy who made a whole guitar instrumental album with it and we all were marveled about his tone, this was like 8 years ago, wow, long time...).
So, perhaps it's more about who's using it? Haha :P Idk
I once told myself to never buy anything PA, and the moron of me seeing some "bargains" made me buy some, lol.

Guitar rig is  probably the harshest and brightest of them all though. The PA amps are definitely ok but one thing to keep in mind is that they are mono an lack ambience.  Amplitube sounds much more 3D out of the box because of the added reverb.

The PA amps are indeed very sensitive to input gain. The sounds are generally more modern and hi-fi and they work well if that’s what you’re going for.

That's the best workaround. Otherwise, Waves seem to lock  your licenses to one of your network adapters hardware ID.

I found out the hard way once when I removed one of my adapters, then had to recover all of my licenses.

Same thing can even happen with virtual interfaces, like virtual box adapters

Based on your personal experience - what VST2 plugins work better than their VST3 counter parts?

I'd like to build a list of these, posting here because the Deals forum seams to get more traffic than the Instrument & Effects.

I'll start - off the top of my head:
Plugin Alliance Triad - in the CbB Track Bin had several times where when muting the VST3 version it would go into permanent bypass mode until removed and reinserted.  Haven't had that issue (yet) with the VST2 version.

Did you try to download the beta version? It fixes a lot of issues and has a more scalable GUI. There’s a download link on kvr.

Excellent comp from IK. This is my fav sim of this comp. I remember getting this and some other things from IK in the Tracks BOGx long ago. Then Waves started selling their stuff cheap. SO I thought if IK's emulation of these comps and EQ's sound this good, Waves will sound better. I was wrong. I don't like the Pugi comps and EQ as much as I love the IK versions.

So if you get this for free.... grab it! It's a really good sound comp.

This isn’t a Fairchild emulation though, that would be their Vintage Tube Compressor/Limiter Model 670 plugin. This is more like a Manley vari-mu I believe.
