  1. Thanks for the reply. As started above, I use my Boss GT 100 for interface. I have figured out the solution... The Gt 100 wants to control input and output drivers and I needed to "deselect" the Boss from the Output driver selection and choose the default speaker/headphone driver. All good.
  2. Hi, I have been using multitrak consoles for decades, and am still using my Yamaha AW16G for a lot of stuff. I'm collaborating with a friend now and decided to try Cakewalk as an easier means of sharing traks, ideas, etc. Anyway, I lay down and record a SI Drums trak. First its a MIDI trak and I am able to monitor it no problem. Next I connect my Boss GT100 guitar pedal/interface and get that set up. I am able to monitor the drum trak and also the guitar (Audio) trak with no problem. When I try to record the Guitar trak, the drum trak audio plays thru the guitar trak (show in the meters) but i still can hear both. If I try to record the guitar, the Drums on trak 1 get recorded on my Guitar trak as well. So... I let this record (without) playing guitar and now have an audio trak of the drums. I delete the MIDI trak and insert a new Audio trak for the guitar but same thing happens... if i hit Record, the drums record on the guitar trak again, along with the guitar, which of course sounds horrible. I've tried several different Input/Output scenarios but all fail. On my console, everything just records, plays, monitors, etc like normal. I cant get my head around this DAW stuff.
