Dropout code most of the time says "1" "Audio processing took longer than the buffers allotted time slice. Increase the Buffer Size value in Edit > Preferences > Audio - Driver Settings."

I even changed it to 2048. It is better, but the problem is still there.

It was 512 samples, i turned it to 1024 now. I have to give it a try.

Hey, when i work on "bigger" projects with like 35+ tracks,fx and all, i'm constantly having audio dropouts and an overall unstable performance with cakewalk. I have a 3.40 GHz quadcore processor and 16GB RAM, Windows 10. My PC is 11 years old. When i look at the performance of my pc while working with cakewalk, the cpu is at around 60% and the ram is around 35%. I have a Steinberg UR22 interface . Any ideas?

My Specs : I have a 2 TB SSD hard drive, so this shoud not be the issue. Win 10 Home Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 MHz, 16gb ram Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050ti Audio device Steinberg UR22 I updated the driver for the GeForce and reinstalled the Steinberg driver. Same issues... Edit : Just downloaded "Driver Booster" and it updated alot of drivers on my PC, but the probem remains...

Hi folks, i have several voice samples and also a drum sample in my recent project. When the voice samples are played back in the project, they have audio dropouts, and i mean only the samples, not the rest of the project. And when the drum loop is played back, it has some serious timing issues from time to time. How can i fix this? What is the problem. Everything esle works fine, also the audio files i recorded directly into Cakewalk.

I recently reinstalled Cakewalk. Everytime i run the vst scan, it get`s stuck on a vst and does not go any further. What can i do?

Hey, cakewalk did not work anymore, so I uninstalled it to reinstall it. When I click on install at the band lab assistant, the first thing is, that I cannot choose the components I want to reinstall. Second thing is, if I try to install it, I can not choose the different folders myself. One component wants to install itself always on a backup drive, where it was before, but this drive is broken and not there anymore. But I'm not able to change the path. Please help

Yes, same result. Today i tried to send the VHS effect from the bus to the tracks. Did not work either...

Today i tried to "trick" my way around this problem. First i exportet all the stems that should not be effectet by the vhs tape effect. Then i transfered the effect to the master bus and exportet the rest of the stems. Did not work either. The effect is NI Reaktor in Demo mode, by the way. Yes i know it shuts down after 30 minutes , i kept that in mind during the process. When i do a complete mixdown of the song, the effect ist there...

Do you mean the presets you can choose? i already tried it with this preset. Did not work.

Hey, i bounced all my tracks to send my project to a mixing and mastering guy. I have several tracks routed to fx busses, and some of these busses send to another bus with an VHS tape effect. But this effect does not apply to the stems. I even tried to freeze the tracks in advance, but with the same result - the vhs effect did not apply.

@Will : No, no TTS-1 in here . @bitflipper : It`s not a live instrument, if you mean that by instrument. It`s a crash . In is routed from NI Battery 4 to this track, out is like i said routed to master bus. The Fader of the battery 4 track is (always) turned down all the way. All drum elements have their own track, everything routed from battery to several tracks.

Hey, in my resent project, when i listen to a track in solo ( doesn`t matter wich one), one specific other track is always audible (audio out set on Master bus) , even when i mute it. Any ideas?

Hey, i tried to reproduce the method from the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdBR0upbmCg&ab_channel=CreativeSauce But when i try to notch tracks with the shortcut 3 and 6 on the numpad (after i selected the track, of course), it does not work. I looked in the preference menu at "keyboard shortcuts" , and 3 and 6 on the numpad are listed with the exact functions as shown in this video , to notch tracks . So i really can`t tell what the problem is. Any ideas ?

No, the interface appears in midi devices and is checked, as i wrote in my post. The Interface is also set as midi in and out to the track. i don`t use any othr daws but cakewalk.

Hey guys, I own a Minilogue XD and a Monologue. I have a Steinberg UR 22 Interface. Both Synthies don`t send midi in to cakewalk , neither via usb or when connected via a midi cable with the interface, so i thought this would be a Korg (driver) problem. 2 Days ago i got a Roland alpha juno 1 - and the same problem appeares. No midi signal received by cakewalk. it works the other way around though with all of my modules/rack mount synth ( Prophet 08, Kawai K1+K4 , Roland U220, Korg M3R) ; i can send midi to them via cakewalk (but with some anoying latency issues). Try to find an answer online ,but did not find anything. Any ideas ? I know i have to enable/check them in "midi devices", but when connected via interface, it`s the interface that needs to be checked, and of course it is.

"open a command windows as administrator in the location where the plug-in is installed" I could not find how to do that in Win7 64bit, at a specific location. Sure i can open it via the explorer, but how do i do it in a folder, where the plugin is located ?

how do i do it? I istalled midi fx in both midi fx and vst folders, but cakewalk does not find them.

Well, if you , a cakewalk "nerd" , doesn`t know one, how would i find one. I`m happy when i can use the basic features of Cakewalk on my own , without asking a question in the forum every two minutes , and on top of it also not in my mother tongue, wich doesn`t make things easier... thanks for your patience ,time and effort anyway, scook .

clear so far, but i can only check one fx at the track output, not several fx as i want to.

So, i have cloned the midi clip, 2 midi clips in 1 track now. Chose bounce again. Still can only send it to 1 fx at a time.
