I'm not sure if this is related or not? But, if I place a mono plugin on a stereo track, then remove the plugin and replace it with the stereo version, the sound is still mono (or not quite right). I have found by clicking the track Interleave Button, from stereo to mono, and back to stereo again, this corrects the audio sound. As I said, might not be related, but sounds the same.

As long as you have enough space for everything, then I would defiantly give it a shot..... nothing ventured nothing gained.

I do not know if this is an issue with Cakewalk or Ez-Drummer, but the Sonar Options: Show number of output Dialog on startup will only display if a project has been loaded via a cold start of Cakewalk. If I close the project, and load another one with ez-Drummer the previous option will automatically be used and the Sonar Options will not display again. I have to completely close Cakewalk down, restart and then load the project to get the Dialog box to display again. Am I missing something here, or is this a wee bug?

Personally, I prefer keeping them separate, especially on mechanical drives, just to keep head movement to a minimum.

Thank you, spent some time yesterday looking into this and found that Screenset was the issue. I have now setup Workspaces which allows to me to have my windows where I want them when I create or load Projects. Thanks for the help.

That is more or less the way I have my system set-up. I have my OS, Cakewalk Projects, and VST instrument and libraries all on different drives. My OS is a SSD drive, Projects on a SSD and my Libs on a SATA Drive.

I am having issues with playback since updating. This seems to happen with Audio or Instruments. When playing back, the audio on a single instrument or audio track with plugins will intermittently cutout at certain points and start playing again after a few seconds. Normally this would suggest that I either have a bad plugin or a plugin which uses a lot of CPU (Mastering EQ type), but in these cases these are plugin which I use daily and wouldn't cause this issue. I also get a lot of intermittent cracking when playing as well. I then recreated the same song in Reaper, with the settings (Sample Rates etc), same Audio stems, instruments, midi, and plugin without any issues, no drop-out's in audio or cracking at any part of play back. I use Pre-Sonus AudioBoxiTwo interface, i7 8700k overclocked at 5g, 48 gigs memory, and my projects are on a SSD drive (If that means much). Any help appreciated.

Would it be possible you could change Cakewalk to remember Windows positions for Console, Piano Role etc? For example, I have a three monitor setup and I always have my Console Window opened on my 2nd monitor. However, regardless of what I do (Save the template with the Console window on Monitor 2), this window always reverts back Docked to the bottom of Cakewalk. It is becoming a bit of an annoyance having to keep reopening and positioning these windows all of the time. Sorry for the nag, and thank you for saving this DAW

Firstly I would like to say thank you for the update, a lot of the issues I was having have been fixed and this version does seem a lot smoother. However, I really dislike one of the changes to the smart tools regarding 'Draw'. In previous versions I was able to manually draw the time length between two points as I was able to switch off the 'Note Draw Notation', now I am forced to use time options because I cannot switch it off (Like in previous versions). Is there any chance the previous behaviour could be restored or am I missing something with the new changes? Cheers,

Hi There, I am a long time user of Invision forums (I use it for my own communities) and I would like to ask that if possible you could add a lot more of the forum's functionality and tools which would make using this forum a lot easier for old and new users a like. Could you enable or at least think about adding: A Topic Block for the newest Topics/Posts on the forum Index. The ability to switch the forum from a Traditional, Grid or fluid View, All Activity Streams etc (So I can create my own) and Quick Content abilities (Content I started etc), 'Unread Content' menu Item, this makes reading unread items quicker and easier.
