  1. I have a 144 hz monitor and I noticed that when I right click during playback the playback cursor runs smoother. This is obviously due to an increase in framerate, but I was just wondering if I could somehow make Cakewalk run that smoothly all the time?
  2. I started making a song from an idea a little bit ago and it turned out pretty well. Unfortunately, now that I want to add to it i'm encountering this problem where every midi note on the piano roll (and during the playback) of my lead instrument is 1 semitone above what it should be (ie. C5 sounds like D5). Is this a setting or something? There is no automation on the affected track and it's kind of driving me insane. It only happens after my first verse in the timeline, pls help!
  3. I like this idea! Any way you can show me how to do it? I'm not quite literate enough with cakewalk to understand your instructions as they are.
  4. In the intro to a song I was making, I wanted a Vital instrument to gradually release its filter as the intro progresses. Problem is, the only way I know how to do that inside of the Vital VST would cause the filter to reset on every note. How do people usually do this? Video attached is a manual example of the effect i'm looking for. 2022-11-07 19-13-23_Trim.mp4
  5. Just tried it, didn't work. Next I tried deleting every automation lane from the song, also didn't work...
  6. If i'm looking at the right menu, all the events seem to be note events. There are no volume events.
  7. Didn't quite work. Volume is at -32db which is not the lowest that Kontakt can go.
  8. Today I was working on a song when I thought one of my tracks broke. Turns out, I somehow turned the instrument all the way down in Kontakt without going into Kontakt and it appears to be locked at the very low volume. My other Kontakt instrument is also locked. I can adjust it while playing, but when I pause or stop it resets. Is this a Cakewalk feature or a Kontakt bug? Any fixes? (Video for reference) 2022-09-09 19-08-18 (1).mp4
  9. I am using the vital vst and I made this instrument that sounds really nice imo, although it makes this awful crackling/popping noise at the start of some notes and I can't seem to figure out why. Does anyone know what combination of effects/attributes causes a sound to pop or crackle at the beginning of notes? I have attatched a short example. (new to music production so pls bear with me if this is an obvious answer) 2022-08-11 02-26-46_Trim.mp4
  10. I'm new to composing and haven't figured out my workflow yet, so when I start a new project I just kinda throw in what is on my mind. The only problem with this is that I often compose the chorus of my song before the intro and sometimes I want to add a section between 2 sections. So I was wondering if there was any way to save a section for later, like for example if I compose the chorus first but want a the intro and the first verse before it. I most likely won't be able to rely on copy pasting it since I will probably end up turning off my computer or copy pasting other things. If this isn't a feature I'm missing in Cakewalk then how do people typically get around this?
