  1. 😂 Lol, I thought they looked extremely dated. I didn't want to say because I thought it would be rude 😂
  2. It's really cool that's you're adding new plugins. Would love to see more down the road!
  3. I agree with what you said in this thread tbh. Its interesting that you mention ik media because I'm pretty sure that they have a decent relationships with the cakewalk devs, considering that I've seen some of the developers on this forum. Maybe they can make a special "cakewalk edition" or something lol. I think it would be awesome if cakewalk collaborated with the guys that made sitala. One of the problems that I have with cakewalk is that the workflow isn't the best for those who make electronic music or hip hop imo, but if the Devs could work with them and integrate the vst seamlessly with CBb's workflow, that that would be awesome. Maybe something like logic pro's 10.5 update would be cool Anyways, I don't use this as my primary daw and since it's free, we can't complain too much 😊
  4. Free samplers are good, especially the one you mentioned but I think a built in one that's more oriented towards the workflow of cakewalk would be better. The sampler in ableton fits well with abletons workflow for example
  5. Looks as if the kick wav forms cannot be downloaded here in the forums, have I been doing it wrong or is there another way?
  6. bad kick.wav Zetta kick is what happens before and bad kick is hat happens when I drag the kick onto the playlist Zetta_Kick13.wav
  7. I think this bug has been in cbb ever since I used it. I wanted to record it using my screen recording software but for some reason theres no audio when I play back the footage So everytime I would drag a kick onto the play list it would distort and stretch. Not sure how this is caused but any help would be appreciated!
  8. True, but those plugins are quite expensive think a built in sampler in cakewalk would be better
  9. Nice! Any word on when the official release will be out?
  10. So, every time I would try and log onto the bandlab assistant to test the new update, it would show this screen Do you guys have a fix for this? Thanks
  11. Hmmm... I think once that true sounds studios guy finishes his new studio and starts making tutorials alot of people will watch and as a result his channel might gain some traction! I think the key to a good daws success is to make it a good all rounder for all kinds of music producers. Like logic pro is very versatile when it comes to it. Has professional recording artists to electronic music producers using it! 😀
  12. Thanks scook! got it working had to press the views browser as you said
  13. Heya! Cakewalk does have a built in browser to browse your sample folder which is nice, however, there are certain directories that i am not able to access. Most of my samples that i use are located into the program files (x86) folder but for some reason, I am unable to access this even though in other daws i am able to. Is there way to fix this so the directory can appear? Thanks in advanced!
  14. Ok, so that worked somehow. I don't how how it caused problem was caused but thanks alot!!
  15. I mean the view in which you usually see your midi tracks. I pressed h and nothing has changed unfortunately
  16. When i press h, it brings up this window. what do i press?
  17. For some reason, when I add a midi track it won't appear in the sequencer view but only in the mixer. It's kinda weird, do u guys know how to solve this? Thanks!
  18. Also, here's the quote that I'm specifically talking about from the employee "Nobody will open their wallet for "we fixed a bunch of sh*t" but they will for "shiny new button that makes music". That is a flaw with selling one version each year. With rolling updates all of that went away and more effort went into fixing long standing bugs. The last 3 years of SONAR imo were the best years of SONAR for stability and effort applied to bugs."
  19. There was a interview that I've seen on reddit of one of the guys who was with Gibson at the time and when he was asked about the bugs he said something along the lines of "people don't get drawn in by bug fixes, they get drawn in by new features". I'm new to this daw, but from what it seems, Gibson focused more on adding new features to draw people in rather than making the programme more stable. Here's the thread to see what I'm talking about
  20. Yh i agree! The piano roll does feel clunky at times, sometimes the keyboard shortcuts don't even work Are you new to this daw like I am?
  21. The sonitus plugins are really good but they look a bit dated imo. I don't think they've had a makeover in years so I think maybe updating them to look more modern could be nice what do u guys think?
  22. Yeah I agree man... There isn't a whole lot to work with, expecially if you make electronic music like myself. If they include at least a basic subtractive synth or rapture session, then I think that would be better. Also, are you new to this forum or did u come from the old one?
  23. heya! I've been playing around with this daw for a while now and one thing that i do think could be improved is the step sequencer. I think there should be a way to either directly drag in audio samples onto the sequencer or to have some sort of sampler put individual samples into. I also think that you should be able to mix these samples individually when you put them into the step sequencer. what do you guys think? let me know in the comments!
