  1. A little too uneventful for my taste, but I like the sound and the beat of this track. Good vibe.

    Song in E Major

Nice song, nice mix. Personally I would choose another snare, but that's probably just me.

Nice mix and nice vocals. The bassline sounds a bit off in my ears, but maybe it's not supposed to sound "traditional"?

I like this style much better than Kråkstad. Sounds really good. Nice guitar sounds. It's gong to be sweet to get some bass on there.
  5. Yeah, a bit too experimental for me as well.
  6. Since my cover of Hotel California was such a hit 🤣, I thought I'd try another one. This is can hardly be called a classic and it's even covered rather true to the original, so it shouldn't upset too much. Again without Melodyne. 3/3 2019 : New mix using Bandlab mastering, + vocal reverb + bass
  7. I know what you mean. It's easier to do your own stuff, because you don't have to compare it I agree completely. I have been practising this song in the original key, but one octave lower, so in this key it's a bit new. I'm going to practise i this key and hope be ok to losen up a bit, Thanks, Bob. My first cover that I used for singing alon in the car was a bit more like the original, but then I thought about doing it in a more contempoary sound. Thanks for listening, all. I updated the mix. Heard it on the big speakerand was not pleased. Still not intirerly satisfied, but getting closer.
  8. I think that you're covering it like the original, you'd better ad something like better vocal, better guitar etc. and that's not really going to happen. Me trying to battle that guitar solo, would not end well 😁 I know how many people feel about covers and I particularly remember the reaction to Madonna's "American pie". I never felt the same way at all. People often cover my favorite song and I don't mind that. I can always turn it off and listen to the original. For me I (almost) always enjoy hearing a song in a different way. I did think about a Beatles cover and I have an idea about arranging Iron Maiden as swing. Should I refrain from doing so ? 😂 Anywasy thanks for listining. Any comments on the vocals? I have really no idea how it sounds to other people. I know I don't much care about hearing my own singing, but I hear that's pretty normal even for big stars, so I don't really know.
  9. I've been doing some covers lately mostly for vocal practise, but also to be better at the production part. This is my idea how this song would have sounded if it was released in the 80's. The structure is the way we do it in my choir replacing the guitar solo with another chorus and ending, so that's courtesy my choirleader Lene. I didn't use Melodyne as it pretty much deafeats the purpose of try to get better at hitting the notes.

You mean the instrument or the album ? I'm pretty influenced by Mike Oldfield, so that wouldn't suprise me. The bell is actually sampled from the church bell. After I started on the project I found out I had it on video. Thanks a lot for listening. Very happy to hear this. Thanks a lot listening.

Very pleased to hear. Thank for listening .
  12. Oh I'm sure it works. I just not smart enough to use that tool.
  13. I actually tried that and couldn't get it to work.
  14. Hi Anybody know if it's possible to change channel on more than one note at a time ? I haven't been able to find a way.
  15. On my 3rd song now. Pretty good production. It certainly is guitar heavy. You don't that much guitar on the mainstream radio these days.
  16. Interesting video and fitting music. Interesting that we seem to have forgotten the nuclear threat, but all the missiles are still out there. Of course now we have level headed people like Trump and Putin in power......😁
  17. Good cover all along. Nice production. Enjoyed that.
  18. Awesome. Really nice work. Video, performance, mix and all.

This probably shows how much I know about classical musical, as my own favorite was 1. I purchased 8dio Adagietto which also sounded horrible in my ears. I thought I was making progress with what I had, but then I put on some "real" Tchaikowsky and totally lost motivation to continue. Not sure it's possible with VST.

Another one ?😲 Well it does seem like a reasonable price considering what it cost before.

Surprising to me, as I think it sould more like an accordion. Cello 2 is Amadeus. My preference was Cello 1 which was the one from the Kontakt Factory library. Thanks for the offer. The work is still in very early stages, though You're right about the violin. The finished will have both the violin and Cello, but it was the cello I was curious about. Cello 3 is Studio strings pro. And bingo we have a winner. Thanks for the suggestion. Wow that poll really worked well didn't it ?🤣
  22. I also wondered about that. There's a fiddle in the kontakt factory library, that I've used in a project to get a nordic folk sound. I always thought it was the same instrument, just played differently, but I'm not really sure. I certainly sound different than a solo violin in a strings collection. I have been struggling a bit trying to find a decent orchestra. Lately I found myself trying yet another new VST I discovered on @Starise's project. I just don't think I can get it to sound like the demo. I'm working on a project that was thinking should be a test to how well I can do a "classical piece" . UPDATE: Structure finished and it will probably need some fine tuning. I'm far for satisfied with the sound as I don't think it sounds like a real orchestra, but I think it's closer than I've been before.
  24. Can't help, but it sounds nice, allthough the bass comes in very strong here.
