Just realised you can only use for them for up to 30% of purchase price - unless Sampletank or some interesting libraries come down significantly I think it is unlikely I'll use them

Don't forget though that you get a 'discount' when you start buying the larger packs of Gear Credits: 150 GC for 134.99 Euros, up to 1500 GC for 749.99 Euros (even more if you factor in Jam Points). You can then get the sounds you need through the Custom Shop. (Beware though that buying all the parts of a MAX library doesn't give you the same status as having a MAX product, from the point of view of upgrade schemes)

I have an RME HDSPe AIO PCIe interface that I plan on using so disabling onboard audio would be ideal. Is the AORUS lineup bad and should I avoid it?

If you can't disable it at BIOS level, you could always disable it in Device Manager in Windows.

  3. Maybe in the registry, maybe in a temp/config file somewhere.

Here's a thought though: if your install-tracker tracks absolutely every change made to your computer and undoing them still doesn't work, maybe it's not the installer that sets the flag. It might be the program itself that does it on first run, basing the start-date on when it was installed.

    For iZotope?

I have a lot of iZotope stuff, including this Cross Grade which I picked up months ago and none of it's on iLok, though it could be if I wanted it to, it's all serial # unlocks.  You can license either by serial# or by iLok or both - your choice.

I've got some iZotope stuff too an love it. I was referring to how I can use the product portal to activate e.g. Ozone to my machine (without iLok), and that now Exponential Audio is part of the iZotope family, hopefully they would integrate it into the product portal so that I wouldn't need an iLok for e.g. Pheonix.

  5. From the Square Enix website:

We’re warmed by stories of communities banding together to support those in need during uncertain times, and by honoring directives intended to protect the most vulnerable among us.

Gamers are part of a global community. We regularly rally together online to return balance to fantasy kingdoms, recruit crew to save the universe from sci-fi threats, and indulge in healthy competition through high-octane action games. For others, shifting to both online work and play is unfamiliar territory.

With this in mind, we’re offering a gift to our community. Starting right now through Monday, March 23 at 11:59PM PDT, we’re releasing both Tomb Raider (2013) and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris for free on Steam.

I wish the news had talked about this earlier instead of all the sensationalism and scare tactics.

I suspect the news did this because they want to reach as wide an audience as possible; there are probably some people who might not understand that explanation.
