It is now, but no not really. You're still paying for the upgrade it just looks like it's free.

So it might be worth waiting to see if there's a sale later on (e.g. Black Friday/Christmas)?

I was expecting a bump in price  for the product overall, but this grace period suggests a timeframe where you can actaully order the thing for $49

Is $49 the regular price for Scalar 1?

Something like ProChannel would be nice too...

It sort of already has that, in that you can expand the stock plugins in the console to get a mini view of their controls

Hmmm... I'm having trouble visualizing this. It's been quite a while since I even looked a Sonar.  Do you have a screen capture or something? I'm intrigued. :)

A quick example made up from a blank Cakewalk project: notice the drums and guitar icons, just below the faders

  5. Anyone know if DeluxeBucks have an expiry period? I don't shop from AudioDeluxe that often and I'm wondering whether I should use them up as soon as possible, or whether to hang onto them for a bigger discount somewhere down the line.

  6. I never quite understood why people would want a case sensitive file system though - to me it makes no sense why it would be beneficial for readme, Readme, README, and ReadMe to be completely different files. I get it for programming variable names; not so much for file names.

Hold on a second here I need to wipe my glasses..............that really is a 6ft. long fork!

........Maybe was he turned into a midget by the wicked Wookie from the dark side. Not to be confused with the nice resident Wookie here who only occasionally eats a human or two.

..........He might be a short dude holding a regular fork. Or maybe it's a weapon cloaked to look like a fork? In that case it wouldn't fool me because I mean, who goes walking around with a fork like that?

..........or he is planning to eat something BIG.

........... or he could be assisting giants at the table which is a frightening thought because he could end up as a  Hors d'oeuvre 😵

I noticed the fork is glowing. Sadly he might be standing there being electrocuted as we speak. Poor soul put it right into one of those floor receptacles we sometimes see on stages. He might already be dead. He looks like he's either daydreaming or his brain is fried. Yep, a crisply critter for the giants.

.........or possibly it's a disguise and this really isn't him. It's a creature that draws energy from electrical outlets using metal eating utensils. Right now while his face has that "I'm pooping" look he's actually charging himself.

........or the dimensional vortex was modified accidentally by inter dimensional beings and somehow household objects from our dimension went over to his dimension only they are super large. In his dimension large eating utensils are often seen as a way to harness an almost godlike power. They believe in a thing called " The Great Hamburger". The source of all recipes . Once a being had a gaseous explosion there and took out an entire planet by accident, or so I've been told. Since Snopes has not been found to be entirely accurate by outside investigations we may never know.

    Now it's the 6th already!!

Nah... He's about to tune a very big piano

If you were to suddenly be able to relive your life, but with the knowledge you've gained, what would you do differently?  #1 would be to put as much money into Microsoft when it was first created that I could (and sell it all in August of 1999).

Might be easier and cheaper to just remember the jackpot-winning lottery numbers for each week

It also make previewing a lot faster by having them built in.  Using a felt piano vs a pad or lead synth makes a world of difference developing different parts.

Plus for those that don't have a large library, nice to get that variety all in one solution.  I think it is a very welcome bonus especially with the optional install nature of it.

Not doubting the usefulness of built in sounds; I just didn't know how extensive the samples were, and thought it might be overkill if a music theory plugin came with a e.g. 20gb library [I couldn't find any info on how big the sound library is] (that might also increase the price). Even for those with various libraries and synths, it can make the whole thing quicker to get going as there's one less thing in the chain to set up.

  10. Also, don't forget that you can use their Bundle Maker promotion with this as well, e.g. the Emotional Guitar bundle is $198, add a cheap library to bring the total over $200, and you can use a code to get 20% off.

  11. A mutually beneficial solution for those who can't stand (i.e. will ignore) lockdown would be to become key workers: they get to go out, keeping supplies/deliveries flowing/stocked up; while more vulnerable people will be able to have supplies delivered to them.
