Open Track Tempo by clicking Views > Tempo. Then draw your automation. You can click at some point of the lines to add a tempo change point, drag it up down left or right, or right click at the dot and open Properties to enter values. U also can right click on the lines (not the dots) to choose the line curve styles. I just figured it out too from another forum, hope this might help you!
