  1. That's great news... thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.
  2. It great song Mark. You should be proud of this one mate. Loved being involved in the project. Cant wait for the next one!!
  3. Well done Steve. There is a nice innocence to your voice. (a little similar to Gilbert O'Sullivan)
  4. There is not a lot of difference I don't think. I was a Sonarworks user but wasn't quite into the workflow. ARC System 4 gives me the things I need. I don't have to engage a plugin to listen to Spotify or other stuff nor forget to switch it off. Its always corrected. To be honest I nearly bought the Trinitov... but couldn't justify it as I'm hobby based and don't make a living out of this,. just love good sound and music. Thanks for the listen and comments mate.
  5. Thanks Kevin for the listen and comments. Gary
  6. Thanks for the listen and feed back. Appreciated. Gary
  7. Thanks for the listen and comments. Yes the voice did break up.. and it wasn't put on either. The voice was just one take and I kept it. Thanks again. Gary

    Dron&on&on&on

It certainly is dronie (not sure if that's a word) To be real honest I couldn't listen to it all the way through as all I could hear was the drone bit in my head inthe end.
  9. @KSband Thank you for the feedback... that's very helpful.
  10. First one is my mix.. Second one is done by a professional mastering engineer. I hear more details on my new ARC system. I have level matched both tracks myself.. I was wondering what people hear. I havnt said it... but I prefer my own mix.. which surprised me. You can see by the tonal profile posted there is not much in it (except matching for CD loudness.. and going through some analogue mastering gear) But I come away as a happy bunny as my tonal profile is near to a top mastering engineer 🙂
  11. @Ross Smithe Thanks so much for the listen and taking time to comment. Appreciated. Gary
  12. Thanks for the listen and comment. I sent this off to a professional mastering engineer to see how much difference it would make and to get a tonal profile. You can see in the images posted above.. I'm not far of his. Which I am pleased to see 🙂 The around 3 minute mark is where I believe he is trying to give ebb and flow in his master. Well done Steve and thanks for pointing it out. I really appreciate all the comments and suggestions... this is how we get better at our craft. Thanks Gary P.s. For those who are just learning mixing etc. This is a great way to learn critical listening... you can go back over peoples comments and see if you get what they are saying. Love this site.
  13. well done guys.> You should be proud of this one.
  14. Thank you so much Martin. I also decided to do it for my grandparents who are no longer here. Just reminded me so much about them.. they loved Roger W.
  15. Very nice acoustic sounds and separation. Great vocal too Barry with good lyrics. Is the other instrument a clarinet? Well done.
  16. Yes that's different. I use a Corsair AX16000 and could have done with that extension.
  17. Nice wide mix We all paint different pictures.. I would bring the drum and bass up a little more.
  18. @Supa Reels Hi Steve. I never saw it as a dig at all mate.. honest. It may not be... you maybe correct. That's why I'm waiting for other opinions. I love all the feedback from everyone.. I never get offended by anything that's why I ask. Cheers for coming back with the feedback. All the best as always, Gary
  19. Thank you for the listen and comments Steve. To be honest I cant here the high end being oven done. But I'm willing to hear other opinions on that 🙂 But we all paint different pictures.
  20. I just recently bought myself the new I.K. Multimedia ARC Studio and believe I am hearing more details in my Focal Trio 6's. I would value your thoughts and comments. Or Sound Cloud. Thanks in advance, Gary
  21. Remember this is just my personal opinion on the vocals. The reverb sets it back as the guitars are in a different space. Some people when they mix their own vocals put it back a little in the mix.. not like guitarists 🙂
