We're going through and double-checking all the songs now. Found and fixed one minor mistake so far.
Am? 🤔

I'm a guitar player who loves Dave Gilmour and Mark Knopfler, and my guilty pleasure is 80s hair metal so I know a lot of solos - and this unlikely monster is my favorite.
Chances are you've heard this song but NOT the solo, as they chopped off the like 80% or so on the radio version. In the video go to 2 minutes and 38 seconds and be amazed by the ferocity and accuracy of this dude's bending and his right hand technique. He was machine on this thing - and it's a long solo!
My friend and I got to see them play in a small bar in California once. We ended up sharing a table right in front of the band with this little older lady who was dancing and singing along to every song! During the break, the lead guitarist came over and introduced us to her: His Mom! She had never missed a gig. Very cool story. 😊

Are you sure you're not a closet pet rock fan Michael? 🤔

This is pretty awful, but I bet you watch the video to the end.
Bad Gyal, Anitta - Bota Niña
It's even funnier if you watch it muted and pretend they're just saying "Blah, blah, blah..." over and over! 🤣

White Snake - Still Of The Night
It's rumored that Jimmy Page fell out of his chair when he saw how the solo starts! 😁
RIP Tawny!

Last I checked, Vancouver WA did not have a cruise port, so I doubt Larry would be ending there. I meant Vancouver, BC.
Well, TBF...

Another ending solo (like UFO's Love To Love Live above):

Still need to catch up on a few here! While doing that, I recalled these two:
(UFO - Love To Love - Live!)
Ozzy - Crazy Train

Still one of the best band names ever!

To be honest with you, it would be more appropriate for me to post the last time I didn't use profanity.
*Wonders if this post counts???* 🤔

Could be a while Steve! I'd head over to the pub just in case though... 😁
Hmm... I don't really drink anymore (health and budget reasons), but a nice pint of Old Speckled Hen is sounding good! 😊

I don't know if I have the attention span to watch that. Can you just tell me what he said?
As if ANYONE has the attention span for me talking!!! 😂

Jeez louise, what a question.
Some solos are simply there to show off, others take a song to the next level.
I'm more interested in the second option! 🙂

If you listen intently all the way though some of it, you have refined listening skills. The interest holds you, I get that.
If you listen to 1 hour of classical music intently, you would be a nerd. I say that in the most respectful way possible.
Some Prog can keep my interest but, to be honest, a lot (as well as Classical which I listen to quite often) acts as perfect background music while I'm programming. They both help me focus.

Actually, I've off and on practiced a form of Yoga called Surya (or Sungazing) for over four decades. Although you don't stare at the sun when it's right above (usually just the first 20 degrees in the morning and the last 20 degrees around sunset), I can stare directly at the sun without blinking. Even though I don't live in the UK and can actually SEE the sun! 😜
Also, I'm now in my 60's and still have 20/10 vision (i.e., "better" than perfect)!
YMMV.

Mama always told me not to look into the eyes of the sun... But Mama, that's where the fun is!
